at least thats why I like it.
this is exactly why i PvP. fighting monsters is fun once in a while, but the challenge of playing against other people is much more fulfilling. I have no endgame PvE gear.

This is a serious problem for Rateds that frankly doesn't get enough attention. My Shadow has only played in 10 RWZ matches and I witnessed what I perceived to be speed hacking in two of them (by the same team). I don't have Fraps or I would have reported it.

As a result, I did some research into some of the hacking stuff for this game. A lot of the "hacks" don't even require any third-party software. They look to be more like exploits in the SWTOR client itself. My guess is if you talked to someone that hacks, they would say they aren't really hacking per se. It is exploiting though imo, and in either case, is a form of cheating. The speed hack is one of these.

I don't see them as much in normal warzones, I guess because they are too busy cheating in rateds.
Your guild is just terrible in ranked WZ's period. You guys do nothing but cry hacks, get totally smacked around like level 10's, then come to the forums claiming hacks. You're an embarrassment to the server, and we all get a solid laugh when everytime you guys lose, because we know the forums will be filled with tears.

I've done over 100 ranked WZ's on Fatman, and not ONCE, have I seen any exploiting or hacking.

I guess /thread. Who could argue with that statement. You are the 100 % and we cannot question your logic oh mighty one.

It's much easier to cry about hacking/exploiting, especially when over 90% of those who do have no idea what they're talking about (let alone about other profession abilities), then actually proving someone is in fact doing so. As someone who has PvP'd 99% of the time since Beta, I can honeslty recall 2 or 3 instances of someone exploiting in PvP. I dare say it's more rare than what others claim it to be. On The Fatman, in which my reply to the person claiming such abuse you quoted was directed at, not once has anyone in my guild or others I have played with cried foul over a legitimate exploit/hack. However, I can recall countless moronic simpleton e-tears, where the substance of their claims were about as legitimate as their PvP skills (very low).

The person in which I quoted, and their guild, is known to constantly cry foul because they have no idea how gameplay in the PvP arena works. Instead, when they are beaten worse than Rodney King, they claim speed hacks, 1 shot hacks, etc, etc. And yet, after all the reporting they do, not a single person was banned lol. Am I aware of certain exploits/hacks that can (and I stress the word can) be used? Of course, I'm not oblivious to these being IG, but in rated PvP and the amount of players I game with/against...it's been a non-issue. The player claiming Fatman has an abundant issue with this, has no idea what they're talking about.

The reason I don't participate in them is because I cannot find people that want to, their reasons vary, so I wanted to ask the general PvP populace.

Why aren't you playing ranked PvP matches?

If you are I don't really want to know, but it seems like few are.
It's too much trouble. I'm waiting for solo queuing.

Ive seen 2 speed hackers since launch and the only other thing i see is sometimes I try to CC or force push on my jugg and the guy with half resolve or less ignores it only to see them a few seconds later stunned by somebody else..
I don't think thats a Hack i think thats a sync problem. I think 99.9% of the strange things you see is because of the buggy and crappy engine and sync issues.

I dunno. I've only reported two people for hacking ever, and I never saw either of them in a zone ever again. In general I am apprehensive about speed hacking claims, because (for example)improved predation can explain a rare case here and there. Juggs/Guardians also get cc immunity after a leap, stuff like that many people just don't understand.

I do agree with you in the sense that I personally don't believe that it's "pointless" to try and get fully, fully geared because of perceived (or real) client hacking. That, to me, is defeatist speak. I'll still be participating either with guild or not. 95% of my current PvP is in non-rated as I'm still playing 'catch up' in gear from coming from a dead server (1225 expertise atm). "hacking/exploiting" is a virtual non-issue from my own experience, at this current level at least. There are a LOT of bad players out there. I was in a huttball last night (pug) where I was the third most DPS as a 21 point healer. I mean I'm thinking gee idiots, maybe this is why we lost 6-0?? hahaha

Personally, it takes a lot for me to report someone. I've got to see someone consistently doing something unbelievable.

edit: Still, all this said, I find it very difficult to discount so many people qqing about it. If you want to argue my guildmates aren't as good as they think they are, that's fine - I can hear that argument. Every guild's got their pros and their not so pro's.
