I don't quite understand the problem here. Yeah they will raise the cap, but that would mean more content. More story, maybe a new planet, who knows, new operation and/or flashpoint. Obviously new gear. So why is that bad?

No matter how much Dev interaction there is, there's always going to be speculation. And you have to remember, the biggest problem with a game company (especially MMO's) giving you information on something before they are sure of it themselves is that they will get reemed if they say something and it ends up being otherwise. So I understand their hesitation to tell us anything. Allison is not talking to us as Allison, she is talking to us as BW, and anything she says that is not an absolute, she could get in trouble for.

Do you really think they started to give BH comms like candies at christmas just so people run LFG group ?

How naive

People who needed LFG would have used it anyway, I know however plenty of people (including myself) who didn't, still we run it (with a premade, which makes no sense but well )

So there was no reason to encourage using this tool, technically. However, that just proves that BH gear will become obsolete in 3 months

Sharing details before they are final is something that often causes confusion and frustration in the event that we have to change major parts of something during development, so we try to avoid it when possible. However, because we've announced some of the outlines for upcoming content (the parts we're sure of), there's bound to be speculation. We will certainly share details as soon as we're able to, of course, but as we work to finalize things, even speculation can help - from it, we can easily see what the community likes or dislikes about an idea and what kinds of thoughts you have about implementation. Then, when we share more details, we'll keep gathering your feedback (which will be more specific at that point). I know it can be frustrating to know a little about upcoming content and to want to see more, so we'll bring you details about this (and other upcoming stuff) as soon as we can!

I understand why she does it - because she's told to. I simply disagree with your premise that we'll "ream them" if they were more forthcoming. I find that people are much more forgiving than they are patient.

In my opinion they can add all those things without an increase in the level cap. Setting aside the gear issue (which shouldn't be part of the discussion anyways tbh) they would still need to go back and re-balance the classes. That would add to development time for the new content and delay its release.

Ah... you see through their little scheme and yet, you are here with us. Does that make you a bug loving hamster?

Have you met the internet? Not really the "forgive and forget, hey I understand you made a mistake, take your time" kind of bunch. They're a "Hey, you obscurely said this 27 days ago, why hasn't it happened yet?!!!"

Generally, the cap won't be a big deal. New Tier of gear, and new abilities from what I've seen. It won't invalidate anything or make things worthless (not sure how some people arrive at that conclusion). It will still be a progression. Those who are a head of the curve will have something to strive for. Those behind the curve will still need to progress through everything to get to the new cap and gear. What's the problem?

IMO, just because other MMOs didn't raise caps doesn't mean it can't be handled here. Presumably with new content and new levels of difficulty it will be the same as it ever was.

Then you clearly haven't been on the forums too long.

They give no updates, people complain.
They give updates early and something changes, people complain.

You may be able to handle early information that's subject to change just fine, but the majority of the forums doesn't seem able to. "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it." -MIB
