I am also having horrible fps issues with this new patch, went from 40-50 fps in 8 mans and 25-30 in 16m to 15-20 in 8 mans and 10-15 in 16 mans sometimes dipping into single digits during fights like 1st boss of ev during missle salvo or Kephess during trando part plus him shooting his purple aoes on the ground, I am a healer and I need to react quickly sometimes to keep up those who are low and its getting increasingly harder with the framerate issues.

Here is my dxdiag:

Has anyone found any more information or any other routes of troubleshooting these FPS issues?

I have tried everything I've found online to increase performance and nothing has helped. Here are a few links but tried a lot of other stuff myself.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibJPM...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-9sgohBIHs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYJZe...eature=related Only thing I haven't tried is to overclock my cpu. Apparently they are done even responding and trying to help with this problem. I have got no response from anyone in CS for my issue. My sub is cancelled and have 10 days left to play. If I check it in 10 days and it's still running this low I won't be coming back. Not that they care about losing a subscriber.. even 1 that has been paying since release after first free month w/o ever stopping.

They can't even give us a generic response such as "we're investigating this problem and will update you when we have more information." We should call the CS number and ask to speak to whatever supervisor is in charge and make it clear this kind of behavior is unacceptable. I've worked in CS at many jobs including IT and they teach you right away to respond asap and try to keep the customer updated and assure them you're looking into it. The sad thing is I'm sure whoever is in charge at CS knows all about this and doesn't care either. Would bet anything you get no help calling but please try and let me know if I was wrong.

Hello All,

First of all, if you are encountering Fps issues, please ensure that you have taken the following troubleshooting steps:
  • Run the Repair function on the launcher. This can be found by logging in, and then clicking on the cog icon.
  • Ensure that your graphics card drivers are updated. If this is the case, updating to a later driver version can resolve the issue. For instructions on how to update your Graphics card please see here.

  • You should make sure that you have the latest version of DirectX installed on your system. For further details please check here.

  • You should check that you have the latest Service Pack and Windows Updates installed for your operating system, including optional updates such as .NET Framework and Visual C++ features.

  • Check that you do not have any unnecessary third party software running in the background which may interfere with the running of the game. For example scans running at the same time as the game can cause significant performance degradation.
I take it that most of you will have already taken these steps, and as mentioned, you have had acceptable performance in the past. However, the steps above will need to be double checked.

If the issue persists, please create a ticket by emailing support@swtor.com detailing your issue and when you suffered the performance drop.
In this mail please include a copy of your DXDiag and MSInfo. This information will help our tech team to zone in on and resolve the source of the issue.

Thank you.

Triple checked everything and was told to post my DxDiag here in spoiler quotes which I did and no response. Is this even gonna be updated to a known issue and is it currently being investigated? I've seen the responses given when showing your system information. I don't believe that will be of any help to the people affected by this or to your tech team. So far I've just seen "it's your computer causing it's not our fault" or" your computer isn't good enough even when it played fine 2 days ago." and "your computer should run the game fine we don't know what else to tell you." I'll send it in though but won't hold my breath for any fast response or anyone formally admitting or addressing the issue. Yeah you guy'a get a lot of hate on here but if you actually acted like you cared it wouldn't be near as bad.

Should we include our computer name when sending this? I would think it's unnecessary and not a good idea to send that information to anyone. I don't even really trust sending the rest of the information you need, but definitively not the computer name.

Hello again Beesodd,

Thank you for responding so quickly. I had no intention of sending that information, but thought others should be aware as well. Thanks for clarifying.

Thank you.
For the last couple of weeks i have been having the same problems since i bought the game.
I have a fairly good desktop that should be able to run the game with no problems at all.

I have Chekced and updated everything from my drivers to windows update and everything else that can be updated, have done almost everything that could have been done to have an increase in the fps rate.

I have even Reinstalled Windows TWICE !! and game !! to make double sure that everythings go perfect, but sadly enough that didnt change a thing ...

When i start the game i get around 50-60 fps no matter what my settings are even with shadows on high, but after some minutes it drops to 10-12 fps and it hangs there from there on.

This is really getting frustating because i see no actions are been taking to come up with a soulution or even so a new patch to fix this problem for us.

I see now i am not the only one having these kinds of problems, and it's not my computer.

I have tried everything and it would be nice to see if you people come up with a patch or a soultion to this problem, because if this continues for long i am afraid i am gonna have to cancel my subscription, cause these problems and worry is not worth the money and time !!
We pay you people so you make our gaming experince good. And this sadly enough sucks.

Thank you very much
