Not to mention that even if it wasn't Esseles, needing for a single piece of enhancement out of a fully modded item isn't exactly considerate.
It was Esseles, actually.

The item drops as a whole, not as as a set of mod parts. Also the item was listed for a KNIGHT not a CONSULAR. Per the previous post all you are doing is trying to justify reprehensible behavior. Sorry I'm not going to do it.. Your parents might and your friends might.. But it isn't socially acceptable behavior.

The story the OP spread was true.

No it didn't.. That is why warriors were needing on rogue gear and clerics were needing on mage gear. You have a very selective memory.

Wrong.. The community will grow because of this.. Someone ended up on an ignore list. If he keeps acting this way he will continue to end up on ignore lists. And much like Pavlov and his experiments the player in question will learn how to act appropriate in social situations or be ostracized. How much more community minded can you get.

I'm not justifying anything. I'm simply stating fact contrary to the OP's fallacy. The item said Shadow needed on and won, was in fact benefical.

Since then one of their group members have confirmed it was Esseles.

The Shadow in question could, after getting the token, choose between these two: http://www.torhead.com/item/hhzhAmp/...tors-armguards

Very beneficial indeed.

Well, every group I personally joined... I was never able to 'need' anything a warrior only could use, from the annoyingly vast amount of grouping I did do. The same was true when I was on my warrior, I could not for the life of me 'need' for focus items - period.

That said, Rift has been out for 6 months or more... before this game came out, I'm not going to do math... it was over half a year; anyone with a brain would look up the current new MMO's, the current top 25 and any potentials that are going to be out in the next 2... and would promptly add, if it's easy and makes sense, the things people like.

This game needs a working need function, if anyone is going to argue that... shut up. Seriously. If someone needs something, they shouldn't have to fight over a group of greedy group members who only want a mod or the credits.

I would just add that person to my ignore list and move on. The group finder will NEVER group you with someone on your ignore list

I am for character specific drops based on their AC.. I was merely pointing out that your assertion that Rift did it correctly from the get go was incorrect. I ran both a Mage and Cleric. I was on aedraxis before the first set of open transfers. After that I started using the LFG group and had my fair share of people needing on my class items. One of the reasons why I have stopped pugging. If the LFG cannot be implemented correctly I won't use it.. This is one of those things that needs to be corrected.
