Why all the negativity?

Ive been on this forume for about 25 minutes now, and already im seeing moans and groans about SWTOR. Why? Yes this game has its flaws but so does every game! instead of slating and listig the bad stuff, list some positives and some improvements/features youd like to see in the future! for example, i Love the customisation features on Armor, lightsabers, Blasters etc,. But i want to see epic expansions and more mounts! maybe even some animal mounts if its possible, and more and more companions! Dont forget this games still a baby, lets get together and help it develop into a awesome rebellious teenager, not crush it as its learning to walk.

The majority of the people playing this game have no idea, what it takes to create a game of this size.
Therefor they take everything for granted, especially people moving from WoW which have had seven years of optimization.
I curently think the game is improving. With free server transfer, we now have decent populated servers, and LFG is a nice feature. Hopefully PvP will continue to improve along with the rest of the content in the game.

Exactly its been around for a margin of the time WoW has been round, it needs time to grow, the phrase rome wasnt built in a day springs to mind.

Also the reason is people that do nothing but complain are most always the most vocal in public.

It's true that the game is still a baby, as you put it, but it is competing with other MMO's as they are now, not as they used to be. You are right, this is a fun game and I am looking forward to see what else it has in store, but that is not going to stop me from commenting on those areas where I feel there is room for improvement (how else are the devs going to figure out what's working with the community and what's not?). Now, do some of us spend too much time talking about those negatives and not enough praising the positives. Probably.

The game did not fit the bill which gives people the the incentive to criticize. Its only natural for humans to complain when something is disappointing. If you get your steak overcooked, would you be upset? I sure would send it back and get a new one.

Im not saying cut out criticism, because criticism makes games grow, im saying that as well as knowing the negatives they need to know the positives! so they can see what were enjoying and how they can grow on it, too much negativity just puts games into a pit, its all about a balance

Lots of whinging yeah. It's the nature of forums in general. It's a huge game, with a number diverse teams involved. Add to that a push from the people with the money to get it out nownownow, and you get a product released without features the people making it know it should come with.
