How about a 5 min warning in game before you shut everything down?

Yeah because it definitely isn't the numerous amounts of duplicate threads repeating the same topic flooding the front page. I have been here for 5 years, and posted on many of those types of threads. It is not a conspiracy, stop making it one.

Stop trolling. I know damn good and well how it works. Shutting servers down without warning IN GAME is not just amateurish it's pathetic.

And to the guy above saying "Everything's ok now servers are back up" no, everything is not ok. I do not have any intention of sitting in that queue again for my sentinel to do a flashpoint on a pvp server. The first wait was over an hour. I was at the final boss I am done with playing the game for the day. I am having more fun in the forums. At least here there the grind is tolerable.

There is one thing pathetic about the maint. And its all of you. Step back and realize what you sound like when you start raging over something this minor. "I didn't get my little tokens for my 15 minutes WORK in my online game. I am entitled to those." all I picture is a kid throwing a tantrum in a shop because his mummy won't buy him a toy.

A warning would be nice. But wouldn't have changed much for a lot of ppl in here. I mean seriously, one guy even managed to use this as a way to complain that when he alt tabs out of the game, he gets a splash load screen when he goes back in. Makes it very hard for normal ppl, and BW to take any of you seriously.

Agreed to the fullest. I was in the middle of questing and all of a sudden just randomly logged out. I barely ever visit these forums at all. And their twitter post about this happening was buried beneath all the other people I follow. Good job, I was having fun playing swtor too. Now I don't even feel like starting back up and resuming my questing.

Bunch of pansies LOL. Bastion got a 15 min warning with count down.. guess the rest of ya don't matter with all the complaining. And guess what the game is back up OMG EVERYONE CHEER. Complain when the servers are shut down for many hours or not working in general. I'm guessing all the whiners are people who weren't lagging like hell or couldn't log into any of their characters because they were on the fleet bugged. ****!

Wrong.. Most of the servers were restarted.. But the issue was caused by a few that crashed and then spread to other servers..

While we don't exactly know what went wrong.. It is unrealistic to assume that Bioware has time to let us know they are taking the servers down to fix a growing issue.. There was a post in the forums.. Some servers did get notificaton..

Read the forums.. It was just a few servers down at first.. Those crashed.. Shortly their after they brought all but the Asia Pacific servers down.. Then those came down to..

I only found out because twitter gets sent to my phone. I can imagine how annoying this would be for everyone else though.


No real reason as to why they can't get a system message out to everyone. I saw it on twitter WELL before the servers actually wen't down.

What a bunch of whining babies you all are!!! Guess what computer games mess up and servers have to be restarted!! Seems like all you seasoned players would know this!

Try being like my group, who half entered an instance, half were outside the door, when Fleet lagged hard and locked our characters out. We didn't get a warning. We were just completely locked out of the game while the rest of you got to keep playing on your merry way. I for one am glad they restarted the servers so we could all get back in. Heaven forbid you have to start something over, or fight that trash mob again. Geez louise what a bunch of whiners. (Flame away)

I was in the middle of solo'ing Hardmode Soa. I'd killed him and JUST clicked on the loot beam. The speeder popped up and then BOOM... server select screen.

This was not a crash at all. They actually announced it ahead of time on twitter. Ofcoarse no one knew that until the servers went offline and then we went to Twitter or the forums.

Honestly I understand that it was necessary .. But I was in the middle of finishing my chapter 1 class quest. I killed the person and was talking to my companion and BAM .. server blacks out. Did I get credit? What if my class quest is Perma bugged? Guess ill find out soon
