What?! How is that even a valid argument? If you were actually FIGHTING over the kill then I would agree. But there is no fighting. If even ONE extra person attacks the boss outside of your raid group the boss will insta kill everyone. That makes absolutely no sense no matter how you look at it. The only people who benefit from this feature are trolls and griefers who have nothing better to do.

If you're flagged for PVp, it doesn't matter what server you are on! Don't flag for pvp when fighting a world boss.

As the last person said ... deal with it. Our guild has tremendous fun with the boss every week. Many guilds compete over the kill, both Reps and Imps, sometimes we sabotage others, sometimes they do that with us, we almost always end up being victorious. This reset it was hilarious - one bad Imp guild couldn't kill it due to enrages/dps being crappy, so while they were recovering, we quickly pulled and killed it. We even had some Reps sabotaging our healer group.

In other words, please do not listen to whiners, it's just ONE boss, it isn't even necessary to kill if you want the best gear, tbh. There's plenty of instanced bosses, Piligrim is just ONE. If you can't deal with its issues, don't do it, it's as simple as that.

So you dont think that the encounter would be more fun if you were actually competing for the kill in a real way? For example Auto PvP flagging when you attack them. Or through a contribution point system? You honestly think its more fun to just get one shotted when one player outside your group from EITHER faction attacks the mobs?

Would be interesting if you had to have 50% pub and 50% imps to complete a world boss but for people moaning about being attacked by other factions don't be flagged for PvP plain and simple.

I remember SWG used to have it so the party that did the most damage would get credit for a kill.
They don't have that in SWTOR instead they have it so NPCS/MOBS get tagged by whoever hits them first & The one-shot kill for NP is obviously to keep multiple raids from joining forces to down it easier.


This thread/topic just proves yet again that if people can find a way to exploit a MMO to grief other players they will use it.

This is completely off topic, but it is kind of funny how SWG was so much better then SWTOR. All SWTOR has ove SWG is graphics and voice acting...

Okay let's explain something here.

PvP server: tht means you are always flagged for PvP even when you're questing.

PvE server: this doesn't mean it's exclusively PvE. It just means tht you get to CHOOSE when you want to open world PvP or not. So if you are flagged for PvP and a repub player comes up on you while fighting a world boss, then expect to be attacked.

That isn't an exploit. That is the way the game was designed. We are on a PvE server, so don't flag for PvP if you don't wanna fight other players in open world.

Wow. Did you even read one post in this thread? The issue has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with PvP. When a raid engages the nightmare pilgrim he does an ability that will one shot the entire raid unless everyone has an alphawave inhibitor. If anyone outside your raid (meaning if 21 people enter the threat table) that ability will kill the raid reguardless of your inhibitors. Its a mechanic that was implemented to prevent raids from receiving outside help. the problem with this is that if some annoying little troll happens upon your raid in the middle of the fight all he has to to is hit the nightmare pilgrim or the add and BAM. Raid wiped instantly.
