Im sorry you disagree with a well known problem with tank companions.

But no, its a problem for everyone im afraid. Though i dont believe there is a need for damage dealing and healer companions to gain any regeneration or out of combat health replenishment. The main focus is on tanking companions.

The ideas i mentioned were only that, ideas. It is by no means a solution to the problem, but by all means you can offer up your opinions and ideas on how best to solve it.

Until the problem is addressed, it will continue to a be a problem for every player. And sadly, this problem means to companions we want to use will mostly be the companions the game mechanics force us to use (or suffer an efficiency penalty). It is not bad design, it is just a very minor oversight. A small one at that.
My time card ends on December 5th. I have no intent to subscribe, let alone play, after i have completed all 9 episodes of KotFE. Likely i will subscribe for a single month to finish off the ''season'', play what remains and then say good bye to SWTOR until the END of the next season. Enjoy Bioware!

1. most outside areas and some inside areas you can use the speeder trick that requires 2 sec.
2. you can dismiss and summon your tank and it requires 1.5 secs.

I have already cited these methods in my original post. Thanks.

This... Companion tanks need more armor rating that's about it really.

What a ridiculous thread. OH NOES I have to actually spend a couple seconds pressing a button to heal my companion between fights... or god forbid THINK for a minute and PLAN before jumping into a "crowd" of 4 enemies...

Jeez... this game is easy enough, and you cant be bothered to hit a couple buttons between fights, you want the game to do it for you? Wow...

That's a problem that lies outside of a tank companion as well. I agree with it but hey what can I say companions a pretty much glorified pets. BW should of allowed talent trees for companions or at least add in some talents that buff up companions.

Also I think presences needs a buff or re-worked... Hell why not just re-work companions all together.

Perhaps you are correct. I am not 100% on what exactly the math is behind armour rating, so i cannot really work out if it will solve the problem, let alone how much would be ''enough''.

I think the recupe in general, as in for both yourself and companions, should get a buff. If you're out of combat you're out of combat and faster, much faster even, ticks wouldnt change much. It's not like we constantly find outselves in situations where we quickly have to recupe before the next enemy randomely shows up.

PvP is a different story. It wouldnt be particulary balanced if we could get out of combat and heal up in 2 secs. I know that this isnt about PvP but there's always some dense person who has to point out the obvious so I'm adding it as some form of disclaimer.

On another note, why are you using tank companions in the first place? There's no content in this game that can't be beaten with a dps companion and usually twice as fast.
