So, I recommend Zork then. It's a great text game. Or even Race War Kingdoms or Dark Throne, both of which are MMO Text based games.

If that were the case, then why would you respond? Obviously you either believed some of his story or just want to troll yourself. I gave you the benefit of the doubt just as I did for the OP. The point is people in PuGs don't necessarily know why someone refuses to use 3rd party software and it is unfortunate, in my opinion, that people are discriminated against for reasons such as that. My point, ultimately, was to encourage the OP to play the way the OP wants and to express the OP isn't alone in feeling the way the OP does, nor should the OP feel pressured to install things on his (fine.. I'll just say his) computer that he doesn't want to simply to participate in an in-game activity that does not require (takes a breath) third party software.

I refuse to use vent for one reason.

I can agree that people should play how they want to play. However, my suggestion to just get ventrilo would probably make things a bit easier for him to get going on operations. I'm not really wanting to argue that he shouldn't need it, but rather that the simple road to just conceding will lead to faster results of not getting kicked.

As i stated before, you dont have to talk, just listen. Not that i am trying to force you into this, if a raid leader cant stop and explain the fight before the boss, he isnt a very good leader.

My post was directed at the OP. With respect to what you said, I was just discounting your nonsense about discrimination. Anti-discriminatory laws apply to things like jobs, not online interactions between individuals in an entertainment product.

If a raid leader decides to limit the group to female characters in slave bikinis only, he can do that. Just like you can go find another group.

You can speak whilst pressing abilities etc, you cannot type and do that, so voice chat is more efficient.

I've been in ops where the leader had to type instructions for 10mins because one person didn't have vent, and I certainly wouldn't do it.

If you're deaf and the group you're in requires voice chat, that's just tough luck.
