spacebar really spacebar?

So lastnight i got into my first flashpoint since i stopped playing in february. Btw im liking group finder. Anyway i play this game a story driven mmo for the story. Then people are being rude to me and trying to pressure me into just spacebaring through the story. I ened up dropping group after 2nd cutscene.

Is this the fate of a story driven mmo to skip the one thing that makes this game unique?

Bio needs to turn off the option to spacebar in flashpoint.

Should people be forced to skip content just for the sake of speedrun?

What they should do is not display who the group is waiting on during cutscenes

The problem is is that for a lot of people they have run the flashpoints many many times and are just farming boss drops, and not actually completing the flashpoint bonus quests etc...

I've played 3 pug through group finder and everyone of them completed the flashpoint, but rushed it as fast as possible skipping 80% of the content and completing no bonus quests.

I can really see both side of this as I do like to watch the content, the first time through, & then whack the bar through it for every consecutive run as seeing the same cut scenes over & over & over & over & over Ad nauseam gets old quickly.

The only suggestion I have for you is to maybe ask before starting, "Hey guys, I haven't been before and would like to watch the cut scenes, anyone have a problem with that or should i find a replacement that has been here before?"

I think most people would be more accommodating just from getting the heads up

Play the game the way you want to play it. They can wait.

Group finder needs another criterion to be a check box for matching in group finder.

"speed run" (space bar thru FPs).

Personally I ignore the criticism - but it is hard.

The one I find hardest to cope with is the people in HMs who refuse to do the bonus, most bonus bosses drop columni tokens - that means loot wise the best bosses go:

end boss>bonus boss>3rd boss>2nd>1st

Depends on the bonus boss really. Some can be difficult which can be a real pain in a PuG. And are you sure they drop columi and not daily tokens?

got 2 columni from the bonus in boarding party yesterday - it's the only group I've had who would do the bonus tho so not sure it's true of all

I can understand wanting to do the bonuses if you are a fairly fresh 50 and are trying to get some gear. However, not a single bonus boss drops columi level gear or tokens for that matter. They all will drop the tionese crystals and a piece of tionese gear.

As far as skipping cutscenes, I am a fan of this because I have seen them all. If you want to watch them, you don't have to skip them. Play your game and make them wait. They may kick you, but I suppose that's a risk you'll have to take. As the above post states, it might be a good idea to mention to the group that you want to watch them before the run.

If you want the story crap, then go into normal flashpoints.
