Graphics in this game...

I admit that after seeing the first in-game screenshots released I was a little bit disappointed. Especially after the awesome cinematic videos.

Now that I'm playing the game I don't even notice the graphics.

I guess I'd rate the graphics as average. They don't blow my mind, but they don't detract from the overall gaming experience so it's fine by me.

Yep.. looks horrible to me. So choppy, horrible shadows, horrible shading, animations look like crap, even minecraft has better graphics!

Really.. any game can be said to look good with the good screenshots and bad with bad screenshots. For example: I noted you had not one character model close up in your Skyrim shots. And not one weirdly angled corpse in your BF3 shots.

This game can look great, but needs a great machine for it to look that way. Most of us don't have that and have one bottleneck or the other (often being multi core processors that the TOR code often does not use to it's full potential admittedly). But the lucky few who's machines are perfect for this game has visuals that do put other games to shame.
Also.. choosing to ignore how stunning characters look and how alive they feel during conversations is a cop-out for the bad graphics group. As that aspect of the game looks wonderful for people of almost every spec..

Especially the eyes.. oh my god the eyes..

Not saying City of Heroes has bad graphics or looks bad or anything, but to say that its graphics were better than WoW's at any point is just wrong.

The screenshot you linked was from Going Rogue, which is the newest expansion for that game. Going Rogue looks really good, but it's also very recent. WoW looks considerably better now than it did in 2004 as well.

Some people just like bright colors and big particle effect and call that 'good graphics'.

Yes. Blizzard has made several improvements to thier graphics. I mean the trees and evironments are not as detailed as in TOR, but the lightening is done just as well. But the night/day cycles and addition of a lot of little things in the game world of WoW make it feel a lot more alive. And the shadows are much better than TOR's. Zoom in on a WoW char's armor and take a pic and then zoom in on a TOR char's armor and you will see more textures and details in the WoW one. And Rift does it even better.

Haha I'm so glad to have rerolled on the Progenitor this event seems awesome, and besides those screenshots have sold me the game again. (and the urgent need to buy a new config :P)

I prefer SWToR's because it looks more realistic.
Personally, I find those Terra screenie terrible. No grass can be that green and that is why I dislike, what I love to call, circus games . I think it ends up what you prefer more.
SWToR is simply amazing for me.

As an MMO you can not truly predict the amount of processing demand will be on a computer. 50 players on fleet is easier to handle than 300. Now add 300 people PVPing and you get a crap storm.

I'm fine with the graphics, though honestly if I could have Crysis graphics I would go out and buy a new pc just to see them. The maps while dull and rail like for actual gameplay are quite beautiful.

Graphics are fine in this game, as some people may pointed out the art style and design (wich i like very much) myabe not cater to eveyone. If anything the graphics are to good considering the the graphic settings we have available to us in the game.
