I am waiting for more.

Nearly everything that annoys me has been pointed out by others, many items by more than one person.

My suggestions I left in the suggestions forum.

Currently I am lacking of a vision for SWTOR's future. Why I want to keep playing. I have left thought's on PTS and hardly there was a post about the feedback provided. GFT feedback was, "yes, we want it different as well and are working on a solution" (which does ofc mean it won't make it to 1.3).

Nifty things like a wardrobe style thing an proc notifier (like an aura), a (de)buff filter, GTN tools, ... anything to make the daily life easier...

Where is SWTOR going? What's coming the next months? I got a good picture about Panderia. What the concepts are, why some decisions have been made, ... as I can read developer feedback and discussions there.

Pazzack? Swoop Race? Ilum 2.0? ---- *silence*

customer support comparison between wow and swtor has already been done.

daily grind? what for? turn life time into credits? That's fun? Rather spent 10.-€ and support some foreign currency farmer. Itīs his life-time and I wonīt miss the experience and will have the monetary gain.

GFT works fine for me, but itīs too late. Itīs just 3 months too late - a pity.

I am not sure if EA is to blame or Bioware. If there are contracts forcing this weird patch and information politics.

Releasing a patch and hot fixing for days. Why do you put up a client on PTS that is not the final client? Why is the client for 1.3 based on code pre-1.2? Why is there only one update?

We release stuff, when itīs done - is what blizzard usually says
Here it seems - we release when itīs scheduled and will clean up the mess later.

I liked the Kotor 1/2 story line (except the useless LS/DS choices - that were 90% single minded ones). Somewhat liked Fallout 3, but it lacked the fun of fallout 2.

I do understand that a multiple storyline is hard to write and keep bug free and may involve a lot more scripting and voice acting, but It would have had the illusion that there actually is a story like written and that choices really matter and not /random 1-3 or /random 1-2 and continue.

It has had itīs strength. There ware unique things. Yes narrated cut scenes and instanced story can be fun. Easing the game for new alts if you have high level characters is a good idea - but didnīt you thing about the impact of rewarding people for playing both sides? 1.2 hit and our alliance people stared playing imperial with the impossibility to talk to the opposing faction or making an alt guild alliance. Communication ceased, ops were hard to organize, ceased to exist and people moved on.

Codex is nice. But planet entries that are impossible to complete are poorly implemented. Having to redo things you already did, do seldom add a replay value. Your competitor did realize this and announced to evolve from an character based tracking to account wide tracking. So I got all matrix cubes - why would I want to do those again? Do you really thing tubes are fun? I canīt remember a single puzzle - apart from push button or get item X.

On a mud I played Nim against the computer as the 21 game and in heaps of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - a challenge, fun and solved for computers.

Raghoul event was nice - again and still poorly timed with 9 days. Do your developers think about people working during the week and playing on the weekend? Would they be able to unlock a 7(?) chained quest line where you can advance by one quest a day during 3 days on the weekend? Maybe there are some mathematicians for hire that might have proof that this is possible (I wouldnīt hire those proofing it works - either they do assume alien time zones and use some kind of weird logic).

Next server event? NOOO, we will keep this secret, check back soon. Yeah, donīt have anything else to do. Lets look at the blizz release calendar. I guess I will be there when the pre-exp event starts. They will announce that beforehand, I trust them in that and I can plan my time ahead.

Maybe itīs just that the targeted consumer is different. Maybe the targeted consumer just like to do something his mind is not too occupied like farming the same quest 50 times and then play a new character where the icons and tooltips are different but the mechanics are somewhat the same - ow knock back, interrupt, heal, charge, aoe stun, ... It saves a lot of time and you already know half the abilities if you choose to play the mirror class, other subclass.

Usually if I read your announcements and see the videos I am just likely to anticipate more than there actually is. Like on release There was a "up to 7 days early access". Which read to me, ow if I did register I will get the access right first day. There was no clarification that you wanted a gated access and up to would mean for most just 3 or 2 days. - Clarification would beforehand might have quenched the excitement flame a bit but would have reduced the overall disappointment and flame war. This is just an example where perfect wording does keep you legally out of danger yet will stain you reputation.

Maybe more talk and talk with some errors is more fruitful than utter silence.

I cancelled today 5 of July.

In my opinion (as main pvp player), they should change:

- Crafting
- More pvp maps, i mean skin variety, not modes (doing all day hutball is not funny)

- Less usseless skills
- Better armor looks

- More pj customization (color, forms, hood, etc)
- More npcs on worlds

- More events (daily events, even if they repeat - should be fine)
- World pvp

- Less money wasted on voice talk npc's (they are ok but it comes to a point where i read faster than heared and i only press spacebar)
- Make huge worlds like tatoiine but not as empty as tatoine is

- And the main thing, they should go to a f2p model, for example: paying for story chapters+lvl upgrade

Hello Everyone, I was a new MMORPG player, and believe it or not, SWTOR was my VERY first MMORPG.

I loved this game, started with a Jedi Sentinel, discovered how to PvP at level 15, and had loads of fun.

Yes, it is had.

I started to love the MMORPG games and I found SWTOR was very captivating, and storylines were very well made. I paid ONCE for 3 months and again for one month (due in July 15th).

Problems why I left. (Don't need to bash if it wasn't your opinion of leaving)

5 Reasons

1. Low Population Server: Yes Bioware, I understand you tried to implant that to save the game. To be honest, you have to admit people are LEAVING. 1.3 wasn't a bad patch at all, but there were some problems. When you play a new game, you get into it, you have fun etc. However, when the point where everyone is desperately asking for Character Transfers, you guys were WAY too slow. As a new, great impacting MMORPG (based on Star Wars too!), you lack many, many characteristics of OLD MMORPGs. After the low population hit, I didn't even want to PLAY the game anymore. After Server Transfer, I came back , but it wasn't the same anymore.

2. Lack of Surprises from Class Stories (MY OPINION): Stories were very well made, and I loved the different sound effects. I was so happy with the Jedi Knight Storylines, I went to try the other classes. Trooper was very fun to play, Imperial Agent had a punch to it. However, it got a little too repetitve seeing those "out of class quests" that ask exactly the same thing, and Stories are a little too repetitive. (Like honestly, I know about the Migrant Merchant Guild, but they have like everything, and I just hear that we're recovering this and that.) It was a little too boring and I thought you guys can give DIFFERENT places for classes. Ord Mantell was a CHORE to get off, and it wasn't even fun to start your class there. Tython was beautiful and amazingly fun.

3. Listening to Gamers: You guys didn't do so great there, when everyone wanted GTN changed, no one listened. When wanted server transfer, no one listened. When everyone wanted more warzones and operations. You listened, but for MMO veterans (i'm not one, and because i'm not one). It was way too easy to accomplish them. There needs to be a dedicated team to listen to us. Look at GW2, they have reddit forums, Q&As, and they LITERALLY changed a class due to many complains. THAT IS CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE. Bioware severely lacked that and I think you guys kinda deserved to learn that lesson.

4. Worlds: Some Worlds are very beautiful (Tython, Courscent, Alderaan etc.) However, maps like Tattooine, it's LITERALLY terrible to get to places, no roads, just sand? After I got a speeder, I just blow by every monster I see, get to my quest location (class), and get the heck out. LIke seriously, what's the fun of that? After that, those maps aren't even worth exploring. It' was WAY too empty and there was nothing to do there. I love to explore around, take my time to look at the world, then I go to a new world for adventure. After Tattooine, everything was so empty.

5. Subscription Price: I'm sorry Bioware, but this SWTOR game right now, is not worth a subscription anymore. Many people will be very angry if SWTOR became f2p, and I completely understand that. Chances are, I'm not coming back until it's f2p. This game is falling apart, and you guys are literally doing NOTHING to save it. Maybe this was your plan along, hype this game, and get paid, and leave us gamers. Bioware, if you want to continue to make great games, you got to listen to us gamers, We PAY to play, and I (and some other people too) will NOT pay for this game until this game lives up to the "HYPED" standard.

Haven't you realized that WoW can stay for THAT long, and you guys can't? I appreciate all the hard work you did for SWTOR, but you guys really made my first MMORPG game experience amazing, and amazingly disappointed.

If they implement X-server PVP or LFG and the Australian servers/players are forced onto US servers for those activities in any shape or form, I'll immediately unsubscribe. If that never happens, my $$$'s are safe with bioware.

I quit for a lot of reasons. I was gone for 3 months but resubbed 2 days ago. The server mergers and 1.3 patch really peaked my interest. The server merge made a HUGE difference in my opinion. I am having a blast right now. The game seems to be playing as intended. In my opinion it is on the upswing and has the potential to just get better. I do however want more story for my lvl 50 Sniper.

Hi Black...a very well thought out post. I was not a new MMORPG player when I came to SWTOR and agreed with much of what you say...and had my own reasons for unsubbing. My sub ends in 3 weeks. As a new MMORPG'er...if you like the genre, and as you say, like exploration, you really should try World of Warcraft...the exploration and the sense of open space are one of the best things about that game. I think you'd dig it. Just a suggestion.

I still have some prepaid time left on my subscription which is how I'm still posting, because I know some people still don't understand how people who've said they've cancelled can still post.

And I know the bulk of you won't care about my post, but I love Star Wars and want this game to improve and prosper. It's just some personal feedback. Who knows, someone may feel similarly on some things.

As to my reasons for cancelling, it's just too similar to World of Warcraft. The systems and mechanics bore me to death. From crafting to PvE to PvP, I feel like I'm playing WoW with a Star Wars skin. I know I'm not the first to say that. I'm sorry Bioware, but the voice acting doesn't take away from that, and in my opinion, too many resources were blown on that, which many players just skip through after capping one character at 50.

The similiarties in the mirrored classes between the Republic and Empire. Predictable and boring. Can you please maybe give each class another advanced class tree to choose from that isn't so blatantly reflected by any other class?

Companions. They're great to have around while leveling up, but at 50, they serve no real purpose except to constantly run your crafting errands, which leads to...

Crafting: Absolutely boring and within the context of the current game's economy, pointless.

PvP: Straight out of WoW's playbook. Nothing original here. How about some real open world PvP? How about including vehicles and equipment you can operate? Walkers? Base defenses (actually being able to manually operate base defenses), etc.

Space/space PvP: The on-rails stuff insults Star Wars fans' intelligence. Come on.

It just seems like Bioware went to some generic MMO company, got a bunch of pre-made modules, put some Star Wars skins on them, slapped them together and published it.

There is very little in this game that is original, exciting or fun and is not the game so many of us dreamed about for years.

I played a bit of beta, bought the CE, and have been playing since early game access but have absolutely no plans to play past my remaining bit of pre-paid time unless there are some drastic changes and additions.

Something I found interesting (ominous?), by the way.. When I cancelled my subscription, I got sent a survey to take.. Many of the questions had to do with how likely I would be to play this game or other games that were a free-to-play model... I'm *not* saying I want this game to go to F2P.. I *don't* and would happily continue to pay a subscription because the more successful MMOs don't *have* to go to a F2P model, I'm just mentioning the survey as a sign of where TOR may be headed.

I'm getting close. soon I think.

What has kept me subbing these months is the fact if I roleplay i'm playing starwars galaxies again i can tolorate it. sounds strange I know right. yesterday I logged on to my bounty hunter, and was pretending I was checking the bounty terminal to see what real players had been fool enough to garner my attention.

On my ship i turn on the music that played in SWG. various files of music I collected over the years and of course fett's vette.

I'm heading back to the real word again. best sandbox ever life is. i'm done for now with anything MMO releated. it's been a sad little hobby with more up's and downs then one can handle at times. hopeless developers who want blizzards market share but fail to create anything that seperates them from the other 1000 cloned themies.

Well have agreat summer all peace.

Why I left:

My characters reached the point where companion dialogues opened up with companions that I'd like to romance but can't yet until same-sex is implemented. I'm afraid that if I progress further, I'll lose the chance to romance them when same-sex is implemented. And it doesn't make sense to keep paying a sub while my characters are sitting in place waiting for the fix.

Why I stick around:

I only resubbed for a month to transfer my characters.

I unsubscribed today.

All the reasons listed in this thread and in the original thread apply to me.

Today I asked CS if they could move all my toons to one server. They told me no.

And that was it.

I wish all the rest of you the best of luck and I hope you have a ton of fun.
