How the game looks is mostly good IMO.... Shadows are bad. Engine is crap.

Graphics have been getting better, since they unlocked the "high" option again, and have been working on optimizations so people can actually use the highest settings. That said, the shadows are still pretty poor. And there are still some pretty low-res textures floating around. The environments and effects are pretty nice. The player models and textures are excellent for an MMO. If they had implemented dx11 instead of dx9 we could have gotten even better graphics, perhaps with tessellation + a boost in performance due to the dx11 multi-threading optimizations. Graphics aren't everything in a game. If they were, the terrible, grindy asian MMOs would have 10's of millions of paying subs.

I actually find the graphics to be quite good in SWTOR, especially since its an MMO and you sometimes have many people on screen as opposed to single player games.

TSW DirectX 11 > all. Game is amazing looking if you got the rig to handle it, and it doesnt crush your pc trying to run it. TOR's graphics just reminded me of wow, cartoon network looking.
