Ahem. 2 things:

1) Story Mode is intended so everyone can see and experience the storyline. Hard Mode and Nightmare Mode are for those that are ready for more challenge.

2) By no stretch of the imagination has "everyone" completed Denova. I haven't. There's still a fair few people that haven't done any level 50 operations (at least, before this week), either because they haven't yet got a decently geared 50, or because their servers were near dead. I am well geared, being fully rakata+, but I haven't finished Denova either -- beaten Colonel Vorgath, but not had a chance to do Kephess yet. Maybe this week.

As pretty much every surviving MMO (including WoW) has realised, making content that only 1% of the population ever see is a massive waste of development resources and is exactly what causes death by wastage.

So, if your complaint is that there isn't enough content that you can experience, and other people can't, I think you're being an exclusivist jerk.

1.3 is a huge disappointment. In three months of content we have had 4 bosses only 4, explosive conflict is probably the worst raid dungeon I have ever experienced in an mmorpg. The mechanics on most of the boss fights are uninteresting and simple, we are met by high damage and big health pools, they feel like boss fights from 2005 not 2012.

I have friends going back to wow, friends that said they would never play wow again because there is simply no pve content to do. Where are the big epic moments in PVE?

Why can we not have a full sized raid dungeon. With modern feeling boss mechanics.

1.3 was a nothing patch, other than rated Warzones which suffers from the fact you need 8 people to do them, it brings nothing that is truly important to the game to the game a few fixes which is nice but WE NEED CONTENT and fast.

If this game does not have new boss fights in the next 4 weeks it is probably dead.
1.3 was never intended to be a content patch. From the teaser vids, they made that abundantly clear. 1.3 was about quality of life, which I think has been implemented fairly well.

If your friends want to go back to WoW, let them. They're probably just looking for an easymode MMO anyways. And 'modern feeling boss mechanics'? The mechanics in SWTOR are going to be the same for just about any MMO, I would imagine. The only difference being that TOR hasn't nerfed the bosses in to giant pushovers.

what i don't like about this patch...first i want tell that i play with many char so i need to do yet some FP HM and all operations, for me the raids problem is far for now, of course i understand that in the game miss a tier2 FP (only Lost Island???) and something of very hard for hardcore players, then for resolve problem necessary 4 tier2 FP new, 1 new operation and 2 new type of raids for 16 players so, i mean more hard.
Now about what i don't like in 1.3:
a) new warzone only for group, for me was better to give warzone at all players rank 40
b) automatic LFG.... why don't bring me in the place where i was??? was so hard?
c) close fast server empity and with the server that remain put LFG for all server, about FP and pvp
d) i really don't like adaptive gear, i want costume! easy to take ( i mean about common costume), easy to change and don't change my normal gear! need another slot for costume for me.
P.S. about the game RIft (i play also this game, get boring now), sure have a lot of raids and dungeons but for me SWTOR bring something of new or different and for me this is very important, only need time because bioware don't understand nothing about mmo and for put a only one file lost one day of patcht ) but the force is in this game ) bb all

You are a hard core gamer and raider attempting to engage such behavior in an MMORPG. Not your fault. That is what they have been feeding you, feeding me, and that is what you came desiring. Wow skewed the concept of MMORPGs by creating a gaming situation where end game boss fights became the be all end all of the game. That is, by its definition, a shooter such as "word of glory", not an MMORPG.

I can't even really blame Wow so much as I could Everquest. Brad and his team took a hard core progressive shooter of a game and decided to add certain elements that emulated pen and paper RPGs so as to draw in more players. The game however, was a hard core shooter disguised as a MMORPG. Leveling was horrid, the story was horrid, but the end game suited the hard core enthusiast.

I believe that, eventually, the two will split again and that is where I see such great value in the plan these people are putting forth. They are moving away from shooters and back in the direction of RPGs....which, again, is why they are the brunt of so much vitriol from so many hard core types. Unfortunately so many of the reviewers and self proclaimed game gurus writing for so many periodicals have the mentality of a 12 year old, not the vision of a wise old sage and can see nothing beyond simple mechanics, graphics, and superficial eye candy. Their level of philosophical exploration is on par with a level two orc warrior. What they call a failure is actually a huge success as the impetus of change.
May the Schwartz be with you....

a) Ranked Warzones are for competitive groups. People dont want to lose the game or lose rating because some random players in green gear kept ruining it for them.
b) This is just laziness. Most of the entrances to the dungeons are on the fleet anyway, with the exception of Battle of Ilum and False Emperor.
c) What?
d) This i agree with. I would of preferred to have seen an appearance tab instead of the adaptive armor system.

For once i have to disagree.
1.3 is a decent update. the grpfrinder is good and working. tho not bioware's fault no one plays a tank.
Adaptive gear is decent. tho i never understand why they don't just open the appearance slot for all gear. Strip the gear stats in the appearance slot and just keep the look.
The server transfers are also nice. gone from 50 ppl on fleet to 250 pr open instance.

I do agree to some extend that the new content is going out rather slow. "but could it be we grind to hard"

I've always been curious how a game like Rift could put out solid new content month after month with world events every month, despite having an initial budget a quarter the size of Bioware's and a team equally dwarfed by them.

Is Bioware just too bloated to release content as fast as smaller studios? Their last Q&A they finally said they'd focus on releasing smaller monthly patches with an emphasis on quality of life stuff, but it makes you wonder exactly what went on at BW. They really stumbled over getting out patch 1.2 months late and then stumbled for another 2 months trying to develop server mergers.

The server mergers are probably why patch 1.3 is so light on actual content. BW's been in reactive mode pretty much since launch.
