if you think i'm saying that tor is exclusively responsible for ea's downfall then you're being remarkably silly

As for SWTOR you do realize it has already made it's budget back right? It made that back from the initial sales. If you think EA is going away any time soon you are sadly mistaken. Sony is in far worse shape then EA is and the fact that the dollar is worth far less then the Yen doesn't help at all.
do i need to pull out my link to an article stating that EA wanted to go pound for pound with WoW subscription wise
because i will
i will turn this thread around and post that link

Bollywood doesn't do franchises.

OH god YES PLEASE I really want to see this link. Please show me proof of this.

If you read the article you would know that the market crashed because of Too many Consoles, Competition from computers, and Atari (A MAJOR CONSOLE DEVELOPER WHO HAD 2 CONSOLES ON THE MARKET) made really bad games that didn't sell well.

EA isn't having that problem. in fact BF3 sold 15 million copies so far.

then how do you figure it's doing bad? You claim that SWTOR is doing bad it didn't live up to expectations. That it is similar to Atari's Pacman.

However it is the second largest P2P MMO out there and it hasn't even been released in the biggest markets yet. You seem to think that the EA execs thought the game would get 11 million subscribers in the US and Europe. Otherwise you would have said so.

i gave you a link saying ea wanted to exceed wow's subscriber base

you're now a member of an exclusive club known as the silly list; either for purposefully misinterpreting what i'm saying, or for thinking that the game will have an asian release capable of propelling it to wow's subscriber base

does it say they wanted to exceed WoWs playerbase on day 1? Because that is what you are implying

Pretty much this. I love SWTOR but if EA dies in the process than it's a loss I'm willing to take.
