Its time to nerf Vanguards and Powertechs

sounds like you overstacked healers and didn't have enough DPS if you wanted to shut down enemy damage potential. stacking healers is the way to hold in WZ's, but you won't be getting anywhere preventing enemies from racking up HUGE numbers on you, and if they know how to FF you're going to die a lot.

Powertechs are grossly over powered. It's so annoying to be playing ranked warzones with the other team stacking power techs. This is honestly ruining the game.

L2P. a powertech stacked team will get slaughtered by a group running operatives/scoundrels with some support from sentinel/marauders. operatives operate as healers and thus mitigate the interrupt threat, and get tech cleanses. operative stealth opener for DPS synergized with burst potential from sentinels and their ability to pop a series of defensive CD's under focus fire allows you to make pyros your little tools.

sounds more like you tried pugging your rated group or did something like stack merc DPS, or were trying to solo DPS targets as a sage.

just to clarify;
I do still feel strat >> composition, and if your team had bothered to mark targets and focus down enemy damage potential, taunt properly, and take advantage of the lack of combat speed boosts on pyros you can control the map.

My team did mark the healers and dps right away and also did focus fire. I'm in full war hero gear 1300 expertise and was consistently getting 6k hit by a pyrotrech. All they do is put the shield on and use their flame on any target. You can't even burn them down. Operatives have the advance ability to run and heal powertechs while in addition popping their shields to whoever is focus fired. All I see every ranked warzone team doing is running with 2-3 Powertechs at a time with operative heals and 2 marauders with off sage healing is the best composition right now in warzones which is virtually unstoppable.

How can you not tell me Powertech is not OP right now? Hopefully the devs can see this, though most of them are blind as bats

simple team maunuever? you're in ranked, so you're on vent or mumble or some form of voice communication or you're asking for failure. mark the PT you want dead, coordinate CC of the healers and burn. in the duration of the CC with your DPS focusing you should be able to kill 1-2 of the pyros before the CC wears off with sufficient burst, even if the pyro pops his defensive cooldown. rinse, repeat. 1300 expertise is far from ideal, optimized gear drops off at the 1100-1200 range. shall I continue to nitpick? you can't base opinions of classes off one anecdotal experience in a rated game where we arent sure about your group composition, strategy, enemy strat/composition, map, and overall skill level of players involved.

Of course my ranked team is on teamspeak for voice communication. In regards to the CC that's a given. Focus fire is key for ranked warzones but even with us focusing on the powertech there are always 1-2 operatives free cast healing while running and mobile. I don't think you can contradict me with the current OP flavour of the month for war zones has solemnly consists of 2-3 powertechs 2 operative healers and 2 mauraders with a hybrid possible sorcerer.

As regards to my 1300 expertise. I have min maxed all my gear for top dps and all my war hero gear is fully augmented. If you need proof of my individual play I suggest you click on my signature video before 1.2 when Sage was actually valuable and useful for DPS before the devs completely dropped the ball by nerfing sages for no legitimate reason.

I've played against both of those guys back on Space Slug before the transfers, and they've always hit like a truck. I think it's just a case of them really knowing how to play their class.

So you have to really know your class to press 3 buttons and consistently hit for 4-5k?
Pyro PT has probably the easiest rotation in the game.

I guess people that dont know how to play just PTs just magically hit for less damage for no reason because clearly pressing 123 to drop someones health to 30% is too complicated.

Yes, your class is the most complicated in the game and we are all just playing easy mode and pressing 3 buttons when we are not busy just rolling our heads over the keyboard.
