Legacy Perks Swindling

While I realize that these are optional, I do think the new batch of perks are a bit misleading. To get to them, you have to go to your Legacy menu. Just by that alone, I would expect them to apply to, well, my Legacy. I hadn't even noticed that they were per character until a guild mate pointed it out.

Just as a conceptual issue, what is the point of legacy unlocks that don't apply to... you know... your legacy?

I get that they changed the name to "character perks", but the whole idea of buying perks for your character undermines the whole legacy concept. And for what?

All the legacy bonuses should apply to your legacy - if they're going to encourage people to level alts instead of run the boring/thin end-game content, why hobble that feature?

I think players would have a better sense of accomplishment if the legacy stuff "changed the game" for them, so to speak. Hey, I paid a million credits and now my entire legacy gets this virtual fluff stuff. As it is now, you pay a million credits and give fluff to a new lowbie alt you may or may not be that attached to, so he can work his way up to buy perks for what, some other new alt?

Individual character perks don't feel like "building a legacy" which is what they were supposedly going for. It feels like paying a lot of money to "cheat the game" or something.

exactly! Also some of us who level, but don't have a lot of time to play the game, and want these perks aren't always going to be able to throw in the credits. Especially if its for the alts. I have a hard enough time earning and keeping credits on my main let alone making credits on an alt.

People told BioWare in the past already that they don't like the idea of having such perk just per character... but BioWare almost never listens to the community, nevertheless they claim they would listen to us.

Many of those perks are XP boosts, I have no use for those with all my 50s, It makes sense that they want you to pick which characters get the perks for a smaller price.

I would complain about the credit sinks, but as I said in other posts, they gave 320k to every lvl 50 character.

I looked at the legacy perks 'coming soon' and seem to remember the prices were much higher. It would appear that Bioware have reduced the cost by allowing you to pick who gets the bonus - good planning I would think.

It is good. Because if it was the other way, this thread would instead be some QQ about having to pay bigger prices for legacy perks that are useless to level 50 characters.

No matter what there will be QQ.

I think its bad planning and shows a bit of the desperation BW finds itself in. Because for 6 months BW main claim was that Legacy = all characters on a server. Now, legacy means whatever BW can pull out of their rumps to make you grind as if we were in a Korean mmo.
