Sorry, you can claim they are additions, or they are perks, but in my book the reality is that this game has no meaningful content, and to keep people playing, they are simply pushing out more credit sinks to make you repeat the daily grind over and over and over again.

Spin it however you want, legacy is nothing but a hamster wheel designed to keep you grinding the same boring daily hubs, your ability to enjoy something so mind numbing and repetitive doesn't have anything to do with what it actually is.

Wait?!?! Where's my reward!

I actually liked the legacy options. Until 1.3. I actually liked playing this game and leveling noobs, until 1.3. I actually was looking forward to 1.3, until 1.3. Think this bs will push me over the edge and make me finally unsub. Bioware has consistently failed every time I get excited and gun-ho about new updates. I used to think a meteorologist was the only job where you could fail all the time and still be employed. I guess I was wrong. Where's the new Cathar race? Where's the increased sprint speed that was in the COMING SOON in 1.3 that used to be there pre-1.3? So many things are promised and not delivered.

This is how I feel thanks to bioware's antics.

Legacy perks in 1.3 costs too much for too little. They aren't really very good perks at all- They're just things I want on all my characters.

I would've bought them if they were account wide, but I'm not going to buy them solo. The only ones I'm going to buy will be Field Respec and Black Hole teleport; the first one because I want to change to Engi for Void Star in RWZs(y u no dual spec?), the second because it's actually a reasonable tool to use.

With 1.3 BW decides that all Legacy Perks only unlocks for the character that purchases it. Whats the purpose of it all if you have a lot of alts? BW even admitted that its difficult to earn just a million credits. Yet they make a system that requires you to earn multiple millions of credits to fully enjoy the perks.

I thought Legacy Perks was a great idea until I read the small print. What a scam...
Could not have said it better.

It's not JUST 1.3 ... its the entire Legacy. Only things worth having are the free things to me. As I have stated in multiple places, Legacy level really is meaningless. The reward for the grind in increasing Legacy Level should be a lowering of the costs of all the perks across the board. Legacy is a waste. It is beyond a normal MMORPG credit sink. At least in that other game I got a mount or something useful for my gold.

Implement the sliding price scale. Legacy goes up the prices come down! Who's with me?!?!?!

I'd get the speeder ones honestly. Only because the cost includes the training. It's actually not half bad.

See...

The problem is that so many people (presumably including you) are stuck in this mentality that you have to have everything that someone else has or you'll never be good (happy) enough. None of them really matter all that much, anyway. Early speeders are just convenience. Yeah, they might have a PvP advantage, but you'd get one anyway when you got to Tatooine, and before then PvP doesn't happen at all.

But I understand the problem. Some people will be enraged at the sight of a fellow Level 14 player who's on a speeder while they're not. They'll convince themselves that everyone else views that player as cooler or better than they are, and that it's Bioware's fault for not giving them the speeder. Not giving a gift is the same as stealing one away, you see. You deserve to have it, and it's stupid that you can't have it now.

Ugh. It's one of the things that's kept me away from multiplayer games.

So, out of curiosity: Have you considered... you know... not buying all the perks? Just playing and enjoying yourself? Or is your self worth strongly tied to the number of virtual toys that Bioware gives you?

This is like the HK-51 cry fest all over again! All these things are optional and extra. I never thought the perks would be global that is stupid every character is supposed to be an individual so yeah they have to pay for their perk. Either way it will not hurt you in the least to not have the perk. If someone wants it nad enough they will pay if not they wont. I dont get the grief everytime something new comes out.
