I made certain assumptions after you showed us that you didn't know the difference between "worse" and "worst". After reading your post, those assumptions have been verified.

I actually happen to be an English literature and language arts teacher for a living, and I find this kind of uptight and pretentious language policing to be very condescending. This is a casual environment, he's not writing a formal essay or a report in which standard English is required. The tone and mode of language in such an environment should be more casual and conversational, so as to promote fun. It's not fun to always adhere to rules.

Your kind of prescriptivist thinking is an outdated and misguided way of thinking about language, as well as narrow minded. This kind of thinking is also discriminatory against those who learned English as a second language (I know how difficult it is to learn a second language and I give credit to anyone who achieves even limited fluency in a language that is not native to them), as well as against those who were raised with non-standard cultural dialects and those who simply have varying ranges of language mastery (which does not indicate their level of intelligence, because they might be quite brilliant in other areas), and it is simply an overly judgmental and holier-than-thou attitude.

In a sense it is user error, but to have one click purchase of items of ridiculous price is definitely a game error. One day you will make the mistake and your bank will got to zero or maybe a friend will jump on your account and he will spend your whole bank balance in under 5 seconds and leave you selling the items back for 1/10th the price.

Another thing I did not mention in the first post and this is to do with the badge part is if you buy items you cannot even use your still in the same boat. I bought a double ended light saber after farming all day for badges only to realize it said light side rank 1 down the bottom instead of dark side rank 1. So I could not use this item at all and had to sell it back for cash instead of getting my badges back. Again you could say user error but why am I able to buy items I cannot even use? But this goes back to buying expensive items also with one click. I know now what I did wrong but to have no lean way on the matter is kinda harsh.

I have never purchased anything, in beta or thus far in regular, for which I could not get back 100% of the money I had spent. Perhaps speeders are different, but I am unaware. Also, isn't the "preview" keybind ctrl+left-click? I was under the impression such keybinds used left-click, where the one-click purchase was right-click. This is in order to eliminate problems such as the one you've experienced.

How do you get back 100%? Not trolling, serious question. The buyback prices for me have always been 10% of the purchase price. Does it have to be at 100% durability then you get full value, or something like that? I'll have to test that out, I'm going to make sure I repair before I sell next time and see if it makes a difference.

And regarding the keybind thing, you can mix up left and right click. Maybe you shouldn't be able to right-click purchase while you're holding ctrl, so that mistake doesn't happen. And I still think "are you sure you want to buy XYZ" confirmation windows would be a good addition.
