SWTOR becoming too convenient?

A successful business gives the customer what they want. If you want hard mode, they have it. If you want an easy mode, they have that too... I don't see a problem really. It's sorta like being at a cafe with more than one item on the menu... just good for business.

Personally I hope they have more solo stuff eventually. I re-subbed to check out 1.3, but not holding out hope unless there is something I am missing.
A force of one, yes, the solo player!

You have to remember not even has all day to play a game.

If someone one has 2 hours to play in a day. They don't want to spend 1 hour making a group. 30 mins walking then 30 mins of actual play time.

If you have all day they it doesn't matter but most people dont

This also changes it from MMO to simply multiplayer as you are then only associating/playing with up to 16 people in one go.
If you need to RPG it up, just walk. no one is stopping you from talking the long way

Exactly. Some seem to forget that.

Well said. Even those who bash WoW for being too easy seem to forget there is heroic raids to do. And trying to reach the top on your server in Arena rankings if PVP is your thing. A good MMO will try to make thier game content to please a wide assortment of different types of players. And the truth is..there are a lot of casual players who want to logon for a hour or two and have some fun and feel like they are getting thier money's worth. If a MMO fails to do that, they will lose them.

Agreed. You have to be really old school to want to spend 30 minutes real time traveling to a place you've already visited a dozen times.
Yo. Droid companions need an operations vendor, too. My extra coms have to go somewhere, and I'd prefer SCORPIO to Kaliyo.

I have to honestly say I love the companion system in regards to profs. It used to drive me nuts sitting there making item after item, when I could be out doing something else. Oh the nightmarish days of farming leather for hours on end O_O
If force choking Jawas is wrong, I don't want to be right.

From the "can't please everyone" angle, consider some of them creature comforts that many have been begging for since beta. At least Bioware listens. For a less convenient and greater challenge, might I recommend clearing level-appropriate H4s or HMs with 2 players + companions, or SM OPs with 4 players + companions. That repair droid will be a wipenight godsend while companions are off restocking medpacks & buff goodies.
Can we please just have our pre-KotFE SWTOR MMORPG back?

But....but...Quinn stands in the fire

lol it would be interesting to coordinate your companions through an op.

I find microing companions during movement-laden boss fights to be of higher difficulty than playing with a full group of players. Essentially playing and manipulating 2 characters while maintaining field awareness under fire is a stout test in multitasking and anticipation. Add coordinating with others doing the same & it can get pretty insane. But it's good times with guildies and my mains are slowly progressing through end game. Repair bills do sting a bit though.
