SWTOR becoming too convenient?

How easy is too easy? Group finder allows you to stand in one spot and find a group for an instance that you don't have to walk to. After 1.3, if you die too many times you can just pull out the old repair droid instead of walking to the nearest vendor. Tired of PVE, no need to hunt for action, just queue up for a warzone, and no you don't have to walk anywhere to do that. Tired of PVP? Maybe crafting would get you more active. Nope, send your companions to craft, you don't move. Now if the spot you chose to sit was your ship..whoa boy, you can also access the GTN your mail and do space combat. You could potentially play the entire game from the safety and comfort of your ship. You do not need to make friends, talk to people, or have to move around very much. How convenient is that!
Anything that is done repetitively can be done by a computer. That is why right brained people will eventually rule the world.

I know very few people who could afford to buy all those legacy perc's you mentioned.....

I guess if you buy lots of gold from gold farmers you could do what you mentioned above....

So video games should be hard work?

Of the issues you mentioned, and most of that stuff costs a fortune and provides really poor value for the price, I think the one questionable design choice was letting crafting take place anywhere, so it became just this bit of stuff that happened in the background and rarely concerned you.

It probably would have been better to keep crafting at certain areas that would've made towns livelier places. Having crafting take place in certain key areas would be better for the community.

Not yet. But it will be soon.
You see, you mention how easy it is to just have summon-able everything, but don't mention the 12 million or so credits involved.

Only problem so far, is that there's a fair bit of whining on the forums about how everything desirable costs more creds than people think they should have to pay. If BW listens to the entitled people who think that just because they only want to spend 30 minutes/week playing, they should enjoy every game luxury, then yes. It will be too convenient.
I make useful, game-expanding suggestions.

Last I checked, travel time and load screens don't equate to something being more or less difficult. They simply consume time that has little to no gameplay involved to get to the actual gameplay where the concept of difficulty is applicable.

I don't think he refered to difficulty, just convenience. Of course the time and energy it would take to unlock and then purchase all of those perks he mentioned is in no way convenient, so his arguement is a bit rediculous at the base. A character that has been played to that point, where he has all that stuff mentioned, with all the time it would take, i would consider to be in retirement. Look, he worked his butt off to build himself up and now he can relax and enjoy life sort of speak. To me its not "overly convenient", its a reward for getting to the top of the mountain.
No, of course not. And that is the whole problem with aliens, you just can't trust them. Occasionally you meet a nice one, Starman, E.T., but usually they just turn out to be some kind of big lizard!

I am a strict believer in things being extremely hardcore.

However, from my POV, the challenge should be in the game itself and not in trying to play the game.
So, the LFG tool is a massive convenience. yes. And definitely a step in the right direction. Finding the group shouldn't be the challenge. Defeating an encounter should be the challenge.

Legacy Droids take an hour to be able to be reused unless upgraded, it might even be more, and they are costly, and only apply to one character, so that wont be an issue

What a silly topic, how is LFG system making the game too easy??? The point of the game is enjoy the missions and raids, not spending hours looking for a group.
