The prime reason people left the game was because when all the bored WoW players left the population was spread thin throughout the servers and caused faction imbalance, That problem is now fixed, Population will be stabile now, and 1.3 might bring some old players back

Self healing apparently. TOR is seeing a bit of resurgence while flight from D3 continues to escalate. I played D3 and compared to TOR it is a disappointment. And that is not my opinion based on the comments on their forums.

But we are comparing apples to oranges.

Interestingly enough... "hate" is not a TOR forum exclusive.

Yeah, this was briliiantly titled like a "tabloid article" that says one thing to get you to read it and themn you realize the article is completely different and the title was just "cleverly worded".

But I agree. There have been problems, but they are working on them and the game has improved greatly since release. They aren't getting a fraction of the credit they deserve.

Haters gonna hate...

I love SWTOR but let's be honest here, GW2 is better in every facet of life and breathes new life into the MMO genre in which SWTOR falls flat on it's face at max level where people get bored quickly because it's essentially a wow in the star wars universe.

SWTOR honestly has the most fun and engaging leveling experience of every MMO I've played, even though it's basically kill x collect y quests, the voice overs make it feel so much bigger and epic. Once you hit max level though, it becomes a boring grind for gear.

The cool thing about GW2 is all the content in the game will stay relevant because you run off karma points and the game down levels you so you don't over level content and make it too easy for you. The random events even in just the starting zone are really cool and it feels like a community because everyone works together.

Don't even get me started on GW2 pvp, probably the best pvp in any MMO I've ever played. So much fun and everything is relatively balanced and it's still beta.
That all may be true, however, SWTOR has one thing that GW2 will never have, which will always appeal to millions the world over ... TOR is Star Wars!!!!

I'll give them a "break" when the extent of our updates goes beyond more outrageously priced Legacy items. All we get is fluff, which is simply a massive credit sink, not "content". I'm waiting for news on PvP before I walk away. I've never seen an MMO actually REMOVE more PvP content than it added, 6 months after launch.
All warfare is based on deception If his forces are united, separate them If you are far from the enemy, make him believe you are near A leader leads by example not by force
