lol nailed it.

My local Target has the game for $19.99 too. Most of the games on their rack sit in packs of 1 or 2, but SWTOR has like 12 and its the only game that has been discounted from $59 to $19.99. LOL. I got a kick out of that.

I tried coming back, played gain. Game still sucks. Good luck to those of you still playing, though. Play what you like.

Or who have free account time (or have had in the 30 days), or any account time left in the last 30 days, or who have been on a trial in the last 30 days. All count. Standard MMORPG practice.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

Damn, I paid $39.95 for a digital download and thought I was getting a steal saving $20. Now I see I could've saved another $20. And in another few months it might be down another $20 to free. On the bright side....

.... Well it's summer.

They'll go up sure. When they fluff the numbers and give everyone including inactive accounts a month free so they can say they have X subscribers when it's just a cheap trick.

I got a bargin on a CE, less than 30% of pre-order price. Having said that the pre-order price was so ridculously expensive, maybe it wasn't so barginous.

I doubt it would go up. There isn't much of the 'second chance' factor, especially when a monthly fee is involved. The game has some fundamental game design and technical issues, that are bottleneck-ing its potential. I expect it would become just a niche MMO, played by a couple of hundreds of thousands die-hard SW fans. Pretty much similar to LOTRO, or (most probably) bit worse.

I'd love to see the game overcoming its major problems and expanding. I really like some aspects of it. But I'll probably leave as soon as I spot a real MMO alternative. You know, stuff like open world without too much instancing, world PvP, exploration, faction-based drama, less e-peen-controlled immature brains, ....
