So cute! Even if Bioware doesn't bill the card automatically they most likely will require one to set up a free trial account and I guarantee you that there official sub numbers will be worded in such a way that these free trials can be included with the rest of those players. Irrationally devoted fanbois are clearly already beginning their spin by suggesting that free trials will be ON TOP OF the Bioware figures, but they won't.

Doesn't Blizzard do that too?

Hence, Bioware is allowed to "count" them and most definitely will. This will likely represent a couple of hundred thousand people and will mask their paid subscriber hemorrhage. You don't actually think it's a coincidence that the free trial is starting exactly when it is, do you?

aaand you would be wrong. It is an endless trial, one can play as much and as long as they like up to level 15. If they want to go further, they have to buy the game and subscribe to it. The Endless trial will not be counted as subscribers, since they have not paid any money to be playing the game.
How do you measure the success of an MMO?

Nope. They only count paying subs which have been active the last 30 days of the reporting cycle.
Trust is something which is earned.

Maybe I shouldn't have used the contraction, I meant it to ask if they did it. I'm not a WoW player, so I really wouldn't know.

I wouldn't bother, his tin-foil hat is actually hard-wired into his brain.

The next number will be down as we've lost alot of players since the 1.2 mill call but I will bet every one beyond that for a few years will be on the rise.
Kyree - Sentinel Kayza - Sage Reyku - Assassin
The Fatman

I am going to say it will not be likely, but it will happen.
Thanks for the chuckle
I don't discuss things as a committee, I don't care about a protocol droid's opinion, and I wish I had more time to get her excited

Considering that Best Buy is struggling to survive, I would consider that a "loss leader" price to get people into the stores -- not how much they value the product.
