It's not a matter of pride, it's a matter of keeping the genre intact and not turning into a console lobby game.

Which isn't happening, so no worries. You're free to form groups the old way all you want. Don't blame us if you're too lazy and want things handed to you!

P.S. The game is already a lobby game. Fleet is the lobby and everyone sits there waiting for a group. A group forms and you walk to the instance. Then the group disbands and you sit on the fleet again.

How is that not already a lobby game? You claim to be defending something (people traveling through zones to get to instances) that NEVER EXISTED IN SWTOR. And in the greatest irony of all, the LFG tool will actually GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT. People will stay in their leveling zones while they look for a group since they don't need to sit on the fleet to find a group anymore.

That's what really gets me... You're fighting and railing against something that gives you what you want, in defense of something that never existed. It doesn't get any more irrational than that.

I have to agree here, we access nearly all FPs and Operations through the fleet, which we stand in spamming for a group. The LFG tool will just make it easier on the quest actually doing quests and not standing in the fleet all day.

Was playing WoW earlier this week, during the non prime time, playing on their free to play to level 20 thing. I saw more people in one zone that I was playing in, then I saw total in all zones from level 1-35 in SWTOR in the last 3 months. In the last 3 months, the server I was playing on during the non prime time, I was seeing about 2 or 3 other people per zone in SWTOR, in WoW I couldn't go more then 5 minutes without seeing 2 or 3 different people. /shrug

Join a guild and all your LFG issues simply disappear.. It is more fun with a guild.. It is better with a guild.. And it is what an MMO is about..

We don't need an LFG system at all. Let alone cross server.. People just need to join guilds and run stuff with their guild.. I am in a group constantly, from the time I log on to the time I go to bed.. Running ops, doing hard mode flashpoiunts, to even PVP at times.. Heck we even level our alts in groups.. It is how an MMO should be played.. You all should really try it..
Finding a good guild is harder then one might think.

hmm, best place to look for groups for flash points is at the fleet, so what do people do? They stay in fleet spamming the chat

Then you probably wouldn't want to group with them anyways, right? The tool just helped you to filter out the Tools.

Kinda funny we live in a world of smartphones, PCs, internet and other insta-grat devices and we have people in this very forum using those devices to communicate with us instantly, complaining about a Tool that provides instant gratification. Whatevs

lazy feature is lazy.
It's not lazy at all. You can teleport from wherever you are in the entire game straight to the flashpoint/op, then back to where you started. If the travel system in this game wasn't horrible, then maybe, but still probably not, you could say it's lazy. Don't feel like going from planet to station, to ship, to fleet, to FP, just to get it done, only to go from FP, to fleet, to ship, to station, to planet again and resume questing.
