I am actually surprised that nobody here has mentioned guilds.. I guess it goes to show how spoiled many have become and how much they demand easy mode..

Join a guild and all your LFG issues simply disappear.. It is more fun with a guild.. It is better with a guild.. And it is what an MMO is about..

We don't need an LFG system at all. Let alone cross server.. People just need to join guilds and run stuff with their guild.. I am in a group constantly, from the time I log on to the time I go to bed.. Running ops, doing hard mode flashpoiunts, to even PVP at times.. Heck we even level our alts in groups.. It is how an MMO should be played.. You all should really try it..
Who is the more foolish? The fool or the fool that follows him?

Nope, that didn't kill the immersion or empty the zones at all
It seriously didn't empty zones. spending 3-5 minutes running to a dungeon that was instanced from the rest of the server is not a populated zone. People were not in those zones to begin with unless it was a leveling zone. At max level, they were already empty. Earlier I mentioned Qael Danas. That zone was full because it was a the hub of max level activity. It had dailies, crafting materials, a world boss, a 5 man dungeon, a raid, and was a place that provided sanctuary from the other faction while presenting open areas where you could have PVP not by going out of your way to find them but because thet were after the same things you were. It had everything so players populated the area. If all a zone has is, say a couple leveling dungeons with a heroic setting than obviously that's not enough to draw people and implementing LFG will do nothing.

It's all about choices. If that's how you like to group then all the power to you, no one is forcing you to use the lfg tool. This tool should not affect anyone like you what so ever so why care unless you somehow you feel threatened that your guildies will start using it to.

I will group with guildies sometimes but other times I may want to level a alt and many times will not have any guildies close to my level range or wanting to run any dungeons. Rather then sitting in the fleet spamming for a group for hours while having to stop leveling and not being able to do anything is boring and lame.

What's so wrong with having a tool that fixes this just like we already have with the pvp tool? The lfg tool is already in many games for a reason and it's never going back so get used to it! Like I and many others have already said if you think it breaks the immersion or whatever your problem with it is then don't use it, simple as that.

Not true... Joining a guild doesnt mean that everyone is at the same level. It also doesnt mean that people have te time to help (not to mention high levels in a party make the xp go down). Joining a guild does not make lfg easier by any measure... Sure im in a guild where people are more then willing to help. But i dont enjoy asking others that are not the req level for an instance to help. They have better things to do and i feel bad for asking them. Lfg is a much needed tool that should have been ingame from the start. The fact that its take. Bioware 7 months to produce it just show how unorganised they are.

False. It shows that they were trying to stay true to the genre instead of making a run'n'gun game. Fear not tho forum denizens. Once your precious LFG tool is in place you won't have to leave the fleet at all

When we were kids, we used to surf the internet by getting our carrier pigeons to send the data packets to the ISP!

Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound?

Using a LFG tool gets you into a group. And nothing's stopping you from doing it the old way. Did you think about that response before you typed it?

Demanding that people don't use any tools to make it easier because that's somehow better is ridiculous.

Most of us would rather group and run content than spend most of that time simply trying to group. I know, shocking, right? We'd rather play the game with people than sit in chat channels and play SWIRC? Darn that easy-mode grouping that gets you playing the actual game! Down with that stuff! The REAL game is in trying to get a group to play the game!

You are right nothing will stop anyone from not using the tool. Except the fact they will get trolled in chat the moment they type, "LFG" with, "trololol, use the tool noob"

I'm sure you can handle it, since you're so convinced you're self-reliant and like doing things the hard way as a matter of pride.
