I'm glad they added it. It is a much needed convenience feature.

It's a good thing they're server only.
I used to think the same thing, but honestly, mmo communities, nowadays, are mostly gutter trash as it is (SWTOR included). I don't really think automated matchmaking systems, even if they're x-server, hurt communities any more than has already been done.

Yeah. Like there.

Favorite time in WOW was open world PVP on the isle of Qael Danas. Why they changed that model is something I will never understand.

Ypou do realize I was being sarcastic. WoW has the most empty zones in any MMO to date. Everyone just stands in the city waiting for their queue. Such the true MMO experience that game has brought to the genre

I know you were being sarcastic. WOW had dead zones before they implemented cross server. All zones are dead once you don't have a reason to be there. A LFG system doesn't kill zones, no reasonable reason to be there kills zones. Running to a dungeon is not an active zone BTW.

Again, cross server didn't kill off zones. They were mostly already dead.

Before cross server

1) find group in trade. Expect to buy a tank or spend a long time spamming if you are DPS.

2) Fly to the zone and run to the dungeon. Summon/wait for party members.

3) Run dungeon.

4) Hearth back to city.

That's not a healthy, lively zone. Cross server did nothing to kill zones.

Except the fact that you didn't have to run to the dungeon anymore and it just teleported you to it?
Nope, that didn't kill the immersion or empty the zones at all

Killed off world PvP though (or ruined it enough for flying mounts to kill it off)
