server lag or what?

just not to long ago when i transferred to another server i noticed that when ever i hit my abilities they don't go off but the GCD does. i have to sit there for a little bit till the GCD is done and it's kinda annoying cause the mob is still hitting you during that time. this been happening a lot more frequently and it's lowing my dps as well cause I'm sitting there half the time just waiting. is this server lag or something i can do on my end? thanks for any and all help on this.

I've been experiencing this a lot lately as well. I'm on Drooga's and ever since our population has increased my combat abilities get totally out of sync with the GCD.

i'm on shadowland and it's getting to the point where i don't want to do dailies anymore cause i have 5 mobs attacking me, and i find myself at 2% health at the end where before i could still be around 70% when i'm done.

Definitely server lag!!!! I am also on shadowlands and have the same problem. On ANYTHING i do i always have lag guaranteed. There are just way too many people on the server now. It cant handle that population....

I would be much happier if they had made a whole bunch of medium sized servers for us instead of these massive ones. It's gotten to the point where I may unsubscribe for a while until the either fix the problem or population dies down.

It's become a whole lot less enjoyable with this new server...

Global Cooldown issues: does not seem to be only global cool down but everything you try to do

Times lag is apparent: I play afternoons and evenings; the lag is worse when there are a lot of players on at the same time
Is your UI customized: I use just a simple setup nothing fancy
Have you ever experienced this issue: only a few times during BETA; but have experienced this ever since the recent character transfers
Additional comments on issue: my screen freezes periodically for no reason what so ever. I've reported this and provided ping and tracer files as well as my client and launcher files and when I heard back, I was asked to just use the launcher repair before logging into the game.

I am sorry, but I do not think a launcher repair answers the major problem of the terrible jerkiness/lag in game, delay in actions after key presses or the screen freezes. I was in a raid last night and just as we made our first pull, my screen froze up for about 2-3 seconds. By the time my screen unfroze we were already on the second turret and the adds before the first boss fight.

I could hear all the game sounds but just could not do anything because of the screen freeze. After that, I experienced several more times of screen freezes and we all experienced major delays in our key presses and actions. Ended up calling the Soa fight because of all this happening. We plan to try again on Monday and hope we do not see the same issues and can actually finish this ...and it was only on story mode.

Today I was running Corellia Black Hole quests and experienced the very same thing. Screen freezes, major delays between key presses and actions. Also a new knot in this rope...one of our party members was unable to turn in the quest for the End of Trovix with us ....screen was not rendering the graphics. He finally dropped group, got re-invited only to end up having to turn his quest in separately after all. Only two of us showed up in the conversation.

When I first entered the Black Hole area it was totally empty. Not an NPC in sight. I was trying to do that first quest in there where you click that little icon that identifies any spies....got credit for all three, but only half of the graphics actually showed up on screen. I found out that none of my group mates were able to see their graphic renditions either.

One member of our party wondered if it was packet loss between the server and our computers. Not knowing what is causing this is very frustrating. What a mess....please fix this problem.

The sad part of this is that if this continues, I will NOT be able to raid because I will be unable to prevent problems which will cause a wipe. This means no more playing in SWTOR for me. I can't play a game if it does not work properly. And as sithterror said, it is not my pc, isp, router or modem issue. All are working as intended. Only the game has stopped working properly for me ever since the server transfer.

• Times lag is apparent: Anytime there is a heavy population on the server, mostly nights and weekend

• Have you ever experienced this issue: I experienced it mildly in the past, just post 1.2, but it became common after the server transfers this last week
• Additional comments on issue: Sometimes it's a sync issue with abilities, for example, i'll activate master strike, nothing will happen, but the cooldown will start and I'll have to wait to activate again, other times the animation will fire but the cooldown doesn't activate, so i can immediately activate the ability again, with no cd. Other times, such as in raids that are heavily instanced due to population, ALL of my abilities and the gcd seem to be a few milliseconds slower. A very common issue is I'll activate an ability like slash for example and it will start the animation, but then stop milliseconds into it without producing any damage to my target.
  This definitely appears different in behavior than a lag spike. I have full connection bars when this takes place.

im having the exact same problems, only thing diffrent is the server and i changed that in the quoted text. dissapearing npc's in black hole is getting worse, some days there is only 2-3 missing, and other days there is none there at all so you have to go around and guess where they are to identify the spies.

Have you ever experienced this issue: Yes, started after transfer last week, no prior to that (but I was away on vacation for 2 weeks )
Additional comments on issue: I typically only PVP, which does not have this problem but I have been doing Black Hole dailies. I lag when I am trying to use any skill in the Black Hole (combat, speeder, etc.). Most of the time the skill does not trigger on the first try (i.e. no dmg, no speeder, etc), but the GCD does so I have to wait to use it again. The skills seem to trigger on the 2nd attempt. Also combat animation truncates when the skill doesn't go off.

Also my question for the Mods/Devs will this issue be address or dealt with anytime soon, say with 1.3 this Tuesday or will you be waiting it out for the following maintenance times? Thursday or the following Tuesday?
