Here’s a few I’ve come up with (in about 5 minutes). They can be titles in game or badges that show up on your SWTOR.com profile.

The Hoarder – Obtain every vanity pet (cumulative on your/a legacy)
The Charming – Get 10 companions to max affection
Everyone’s Confidant - Get 20 companions to max affection
The Lone Hero - Solo every class quest on 1 character
The Butcher – Kill 9001 enemy NPCs
The Esh-kha’s Bane – Kill 200 Esh-kha
The Exterminator – Kill 200 Killiks OR Colicoids
The Veteran – Have 6 Lv50 characters
The Addicted – Have 7 Lv50 characters
The Insane – Have 8 Lv50 characters
The Monotonous Quester – Do all planetary daily quests for 5 days in a row
The Grave Robber – Loot 1000 dead bodies
Sarlacc Snack – You jumped into the Sarlacc's maw and got eaten (suggested by Kubernetic)
Dark Legacy - Become full dark side on at least two character
Good fortune - Win a item roll by 1
Light in the family - Reach full light side on at least two Characters
I Rule the Ghoul - Show your strength by killing 1000 Rakghoul
There's no such things as luck - Couplet (A certain daily quest give times](all suggested by darthkargtor)

Can you think of any?

Is there anything other than them just showing up on a profile? Certain bonuses? Titles? something?

I like a lot of these. Though to be honest, I'd like to see them award existing in-game titles (like the planetary ones) along with adding new titles/achievements.

"They can be titles in game" as I suggested in my opening post

But that's all? Doesn't seem worth it on several of those that actually put up a good challenge, if all you get is a piece of text.

I'm at work so I haven't had the time to look up the names of the fighters or anything of the sort, but perhaps something for space missions. Take down 5000 Interceptors (or its republic equivalent), and to add to that, destroy 1000 hard points on space stations and republic/imperial capital ships.

An achievement system would be something that SWTOR could highly benefit from. I have friends who are achievement whores and will grind and grind for those points, even if they're worthless. Just having that challenge/race is something enticing to a lot of people and maybe even the tip of the scale for them to keep playing.

From what I've seen the codex is supposed to serve as some kind of achievement system, but I don't feel it's robust enough. The lore you can read within is cool, but having an actual points system feels good even though it's largely just an arbitrary number. If it feels good then do it.

I think a flashier pop up would be nice too. WoW and now Diablo 3 have really nice BAZINGA! noises and a flashy box that lights up your screen when you achieve something. It's eye catching. Again, it's totally arbitrary, but alot of players, myself included, really enjoy that kind of meaningless reward.
