I even saw they gave DDO players an item that allowed them to skip the levelling process from 8 to 16. Stat tomes are also purchasable, as well as almost all rare consumables.

Also Turbine does condone the trade of Point Codes.
Well I can beleave that. But does it mean the company is not profitable? If it has helped them to stay profitable, then I would say they made the right move. Not saying I care to play it now. Tho I do still have a level 64 Burgler there..which I check in on once every 3 months or so. I use to play it a lot before they went to FTP and I canceled my sub before they did. My reasons was not because they went to FTP. The design of the game after level 50 sucked in my opinion. lol.

it's very profitiable. They have said they made more money since they went F2P it's first year then all of its time when it was Pay to Play.

It was so succesfull they added new servers hired new employes and have added a crap ton of new content.

But speaking of the high turn around of customers. I remember reading an article about MMOs and turnarounds and it talked about how its much better for a MMO for players to sub for a few months stop for a few months then come back and sub for a few more.

WoW however doesn't do this they found that what happens in WoW is that people keep subbed for long periods of time but when they finally have had enough they leave angry and never come back and in the long run they end up losing more money.

they need to have something where the community votes on features to be added i think

each sub is sort of like owning a share in the game >.>,we should be able to vote for new features

Holy crap... people are still worried about the non-existent "F2P" thing... the game isn't going there, at least anytime soon, so get over it and let's talk about something good shall we?
Bluesummer Legacy
Cagura (Vanguard) / Kaethundor (Shadow)
Ghawlst (Sorcerer) / Vexler (Powertech)

Post it. It would still be on topic and the worse that can happen is they will delete the post or this thread alltogether. No biggie ether way.
