So I finally understand why so many healers get frustrated with dps. When you have everyone stun locked and on of your dps'ers keeps aoeing them and ...... ggrrraaaaa
sorry I just needed to vent.

This is my first time playing a healer in an MMO and have listened to a lot of folks complain about dps over doing it and making healing nearly impossible. This is just the first time I have ever experienced it. I am sorry guys if I have ever done this to any of you. I now know the frustration of a bull headed dps nearly wiping your part at every group of mobs.

Exercise your healer's authority. Without you, they all die. Next time he does that, stop healing him. Keep the others in the group up, but let your attention on this one lax. He may not die after that particular fight, but throw in a comment about using AOE and how it's his own fault if he gets killed, and he'll get the idea.

Lol, I hear you man. I dps and heal so I can see it from both perspectives. Considered this, instead of complaining or raging about dps's, challange yourself to find new ways to heal them inspit of their eccentricities. Ultimately you have no control over other players personalities on an MMO hence it doesn't help you to rage against them.

I personally almost never say anything in a group situation. If my dps expects me to heal him, even if he is being a moron, then I rise to the occassion and try to surpass his expecations.

You'd be rather surprise how much you can do if put in a situation where you have to do it. Then you can get satisfaction that you can heal anybody no matter what. That will makeyou a sought after healer.

These are my two cents.

If someone runs LoS on heals, dont go chasing them. Cleanse is ur friend, esp the one that heals too. Unfortuantely try not to stand alone were u can be focused so kwick, sometimes standing in the middle of it makes them tab target miss, ask for guards upon entering wz's (there's plenty of em out there now) and always try to befriend another pvp healer and group que with them. Trying to solo heal an entire wz is not gonna happen, people will die, just face that fact. Sorry for the run on paragraph, just putting in my 2 cents.

That door swings both ways sadly, in many games it can be almost impossible to take anyone down because of the ammount of healers on one team.

The basic underlying problem is balance and indeed how matches are formed I think, there should be a system in place that trys to balance each sides team with players of equal abilitys, prevents slanted teams that include too many of one class etc.

It's a DPS' job to know *** to do, TBH. even if you aren't a tank, theres no reason to "defend" people...

If something on capping a node, swap to it.. eventually they will leave for a bit or die...
If you see **** on your healer, help him out.. stun, kockback..... attack... they will switch or die.

When I have 3 on me, I don't have time to type out "get these fing marauders off me"

Then, you get the over egotistical dps' who think its all about the #s, when they are just beating on random targets to pad meters. "OMG YOU SUCK HEALER" when you're trying to kite 4 ppl off your *** and they run somewhere and die.
I'd rather put out lower #s and win, instead of higher #s and lose.

On the other hand, too much rigid control set over the composition would stagnate the gameplay fairly fast. Imagine if in huttball everyteam always had an offensive pull, defensive pull and a jugger ball carrier. Sure team skill would be the underlying factor but you wouldn't end up the same heavily defensive/offensive teams that keep games fresh.

I'm really looking forward to how ranked wz's play for this exact reason. See what people run with.
