Still not fixed in 1.2.7b

That is 16 patches and just over 2 months of the issue not being fixed. Color my face red for buying 6month sub. (that should cover blushing with embarrassment and anger)

Add me to the list. I did not have the issue until the other night. Dinged 50, did some warzones and am now having the same sound issue the others are reporting.

This issue has been there since patch 1.2 and as I see it, it was non-existent before that... So I would go with the idea that there is something in the patch 1.2 that does this. I know its a lot of data but there are still options to find the problem...

1.) Split patch 1.2 into 2 parts where each part has half the features enabled.
2.) Run them one at the time and use testers to recreate the issue. [Its not hard, play some PVP a couple times you should be right there with the sound...]
3.) If problem shows up after couple of hours go back to step 1 and do the same thing again. [split the remaining update into 2 parts] or else do step 4...
4.) Forget the first part and use the second part to update test environment to then recreate the problem. When succeeded please see step 1....

I don't suggest that its easy or cheap to find the cause this way but it certainly works...
Just a thought...

Untill the 1.2 patch there were no sound issues and i have been playing since december. Ill try updating some drivers see if that does the trick but its a fair bit frustrating to try and play the story but cant hear it

Other than this issue I am happy with the patch. keep it up BW.

dont know if its any use but specs are...

Win 7 ultimate
I7
ATI 6950 OC
12gb DDR3
Asus Xonar DG 5.1 PCI Sound Card
I am experiencing exactly the same thing. However, it got worse after yesterday's maintenance downtime. I've started getting a very loud buzzing noise from my computer.

At first I thought it was something caught in one of the fans, but I think it's coming from that 16 bit speaker that produces a PC's audible bells (e.g. the beep at boot, when you backspace on an empty command line, etc). If it happens during an NPC mission conversation and I hit ESC right in the middle of an extended buz, it's immediately cut off. It also happens in environment (whether I'm moving or not) and if I break out of the game with the windows key during one of these buzzes, it again immediately stops. Also no buzzing comes from my computer while the game is left running in the background. ...and I do mean my computer, not my speakers.

I'm running on an i7 + GTX560 Ti + Gigabyte mobo with audio and video both going over HDMI. Nothing else provokes this problem and this didn't happen before.

On a side note, the lack of audio is making me not do missions in most cases. I enjoy story and don't like to just mindlessly run after green dots on the map. ...and obviously the in-game buzzing is keeps forcing me to leave the game to get away from the awful noise.

This is such an odd problem.

EDIT:
Restarting does nothing. The problem continues unabated.

EDIT 2:
I tracked down the buzz as being related to GPU temp. As it never got hot enough to at the same ambient temp before this Tuesday, I assume whatever bugs that cropped up in 1.2 + any further maintained changes to swtor are causing my GPU to work harder than it did before. A temperature issue is easy to deal with, but the audio problem obviously is still there.

Looks like we won't be getting a fix with 1.3 either. I guess that means 1.3 will be free as well?

Yes BioWare is so much fun for a entire OPs to have to shut down to reload the game as incompetent people get paid to ruin the game on purpose. Or thru sheer lack of testing.

Can anyone who's played the 1.3 patch confirm if this was fixed or not?
