The New Super PVP East Server

Why couldn't they just transfer every server to P5 but WITH the option of going to Fatman IF you have a legacy there. Everyone consolidates, everyone is happy.

I'm beyond pissed off.

The problem is if they cant. If say Po5 just reaches standard and cant hit heavy, then thats going to hurt.

They should have started with Po5 and then when it got even with fatman they could start doing both even. How you think everyone that was told about transfers into larger servers will feel if the fatman is close to full everyday and Po5 is only standard. All they will get from the transfer is another look at how a server becomes a ghosttown.

PotF is at Standard right now (as is Fatty). Way, way before prime time. There's plenty of people to keep the server strong, and the people transferring in are those that stuck with the game through some bad times already. If anything Fatty is the server that will fade faster (IMO)

There should be a new official war between the fatman and Pot5. Both are PvP servers and we could get our own instanced server to fight a never ending war with.

I wonder if this merger, er i mean transfers Will cost them more subs then gain.

if anyone is curious, right exactly now, there are ~300+ on fleet on imperial on 2 instances and ~250 on 1 instance on republic on fleet. at this exact moment

Two things I see potentially wrong with this.

1) If transfers weren't as popular as they are, they might have been better off dropping everyone off on one server.

2) So they start with Po5, get it up to fatman levels, then start splitting them evenly. Po5 gets a lot more origins because of this. Then, we hit the weekend, and Po5 winds up leaping ahead by a large margin as those that don't play during the week start transfering.

I'm not saying that doing it that way might not have been better, but they didn't have the benefit of hindsight when starting this. Let's be honest, if they knew how this was going to turn out, they could have opened up all transfers the very first day. This is very much a work in progress where how we react (as subscribers, not as forum posters) alters the next step.

I doubt it. At least initially, I'm seeing more people logging in in anticipation of the transfers. I'm seeing general chat generally optimistic about transfers, anxious to get on with it. I might see one negative comment a day in general chat. Then again, that's not exactly a sign that they're gaining subs, just that the existing subs are excited about the change.

Yeah you're right, wanting to actually play with other people in an mmo is so flavor of the month...

There better be enough pvp servers left to fill po5 up....why did they need to fill the fatman up more than it already was when they could of just sent us all to our own new server. If this server ends up only being half as full as the fatman I'm going to be mad.
