The New Super PVP East Server

Well they can't just let people keep flooding on to one server if it's already full or it will end up with ridiculus queues.

my server was moved to P5 and it doesnt seem that bad of course it is day 1 but as of 2pm there was 149emp side and 96rep side, for an east coast server during normal work hours THAT IS 6x the population on Veela at PRIMETIME.

Port Nowhere here and I'm glad it looks like we are not goig to The Fatman. To me P5 will have the playerbase that is enjoying the game and not complaining and jumping ship every minute. I just remember how everyone flock to Briarcliff in Rift at this same juncture and now its a lighter server. So to me going to P5 is a win.

The problem is not that they did gated transfers to fatman, but rather the fashion in which they did it: they seem to have transfered quite a few healthy servers over to a already thriving one. Most remaining servers are either the proverbial dead horse (Veela, my own, with a rep fleet max of 2 on prime time), or extremely imbalanced servers. Yes, there are the few good apples still out there, but when you do a side-by-side comparison of the servers that were sent to fatman and those that werent, you can see the problem right away: it will be "full" on imps, and skewed on reps, while never rising to anything near fatment numbers. Especially when you consider that most of those players already have alts/toons on fatman to begin with, which was just made even more thriving.

All i want is to be proven wrong tho...

You have to appreciate the fact the The Fatman server didn't happen by accident.

You also have to take into account that there are/were 25 East Coast PvP servers to begin with. The Fatman consolidated 7 servers into 1. That leaves another 18 servers to consolidate.

I play on Saber of Exar Kun. We have not merged yet, but we had (about) 3 post 50 WZs running at a time last night past primetime. Po5 is going to get an infusion of good and active players if even a majority percentage take the leap and go. I'm excited for more activity later in the evenings than we have now.

But I will still role characters on The Bastion as I have friends that play there. Don't be so alarmist, make your own success. $15 doesn't mean you get what you want.

Fatman did have 7 servers added to it.

Its barely noticeable. We have an extra 50 people in fleet at peak hours! Woo.

Good luck making a server out of 18 husks. With luck you might break 125 in fleet. (This isn't directed at the person I am quoting.)
