your analogy is somewhat flawed on several levels I'll refrain in the interest of comity from pointing them out.

I say its time we close the door on these dirty transfers and kick the ones who are in our fine server out so it can once again be the great server it was!

Back in our forefathers day they didn't have no "transfers" this was OUR server. Now the transfiggers are running a muck and ruining the great community we once had.
I am about to learn how this forum's Friend feature works

On topic, has anyone tried "LFG to do dailies. Much faster with 4 peeps!"
The CS in this game is amazing. It takes a certain amount of skill to turn a fan into an unsubscriber in 4 short hours.

Or the attempts at shaming them only end up turning them aggressive to the point of sabotaging other players out of spite. Either way, it's going to be fun to watch.

Eventually, they would probably quit but not before leaving a swath of destruction and anger in their wake.
Long time player of SWG from cradle to grave. First Kettemoor, then Starsider.

@OP: I know the transition from an online single-player game to an MMO is hard, but don't be mad, bro. Switch channels, do them later in the week, do them with friends (so you can 'em yourself), or just do something else. Playing an MMO is tough, but you can make the transition.

This entire server must be purged.

Unfortunately, due to mechanics, a lot of classes have "lead in" times before they are actually considered to have "engaged" the enemy.

Whether that "lead in" time is a 2 second cast, or entering stealth/sneaking up, or taking cover, or sending your companion in to attack to get first aggro because it's the tank.

Good ettiquette is if you see somebody setting up to attack by starting one of those. Let them have it.

'Course, Bioware could also add some sort of "prelock". On triggering one of those, your current target is "temp locked" to you for 2 seconds or so.

I'd also argue that quest objectives/chests/nodes etc. should probably also be temp "locked" to whomever is engaging the nearby mob, for up to ~5 seconds after the mob is defeated.
