Errr, why do you think that the people who didn't decide to move to the flavor of the month server because we KNEW free server transfers had been promised to us and while we didn't exactly ENJOY our dead servers, we could live with them until that time, are fence sitters? I think I'm pretty firmly in the "here until they pry my cold dead corpse off the last remaining server" group.

And I am delighted I'm not going to Fatman. Most of the people I knew who rerolled to Fatman from my server had the patience of a rabid gnat. I think the people who were willing to wait might well provide the better population....at least for my tastes. My guildies who waited around don't have the NOW NOW NOW mentality, and I prefer people who can take early day MMO woes in their stride without crying about sinking ships and falling skies.

i feel you. i re-rolled a few toons there as well. but i have to be realistic with myself. We all knew transfers were coming. unfortunately instead of cancelling our subs like we should have until it happened, we decided to reroll so we could have some fun... so this is the the effect. I dont care much about whether im on fatman or not. If people really want to have a good pvp experience, they will do it on either server..

no you aren't wrong. I have alts already started on fatman. i will keep playing them and all is good. Po5 as you said doesnt have a foundation and is going to be comprised of mostly fence sitters or people who already have alts or rerolls on fatman. The only way to stop this is by preventing people from selecting fatman on the toon creation screen.

My guild will be glad to go to P5 or any server that isn't fatman, the community will be 10x better.

there are a lot of failed mmo's.... more than there are successful ones. this one is being viewed as a failure. it is hard to overcome that label. and, its hard to inspire loyalty to a sinking ship. the fact is, people are upset because they like the game, but hate the way its managed. we want it to be better.

The amazing thing about all this, is how little patience these people who are going on about Fatman and not being able to go there have.

So you've got an alt there. So you don't want to go to Po5... Don't. Make your Fatman alts your mains, and stop ************ about what will end up being a very good, very workable, probably better community.

I for one am more than happy to have the people who don't go spastic on Po5, and the spaz's go to Fatman. Fine for me.

Remember, open transfers are on the way. It isn't going to be like this forever. But you will have a much better experience in the mean time while waiting for unrestricted transfers.

There is also no reason to think that BioWare isn't monitoring the new destination servers. I can see them doing something like opening up transfers from an overcrowded destination server to a less-crowded destination server if one or more are overcrowded to truly balance out the populations.

Now that the transfer system is set, they can do a LOT of tuning to perfect the situation. But it isn't going to happen in one week, folks. We've all waited months for transfers, and they're here and being rolled out in quick fashion. That doesn't mean we don't ever have to wait for anything ever again, LOL.

and offer fatman -> PO5 transfers. It at least puts a dent in the fatman temptation. And, this will be offered eventually... when its too late and PO5 is dying and they are making desperate moves.

Truth. I would rather be P5 and not have to deal with a ton of "kids" that are on fatman.
