What happens if you DON'T transfer?

my guild and other guild on my server which we should have been the beeping destination server dont wanna move bc we have everyone here but now most of the other 50s gonna transfer to the new server for pvp stuff like that i think they should have made it a option u can transfer back n forth

I've already transferred 2 characters but all of my other alts were for levelling as a duo with my husband. His sub has lapsed and mine expires in 2 days. If we re-sub, chances are we'll do it at the same time after a couple more significant updates. I don't want to move all my alts now, only to find Red Eclipse isn't available anymore for him or he has to do a paid transfer. So I'm tempted to just leave them in the hope that if there's a forced move it all happens at the same time.

do we have an eta on how long the transfer system is going to stay in place at all..i you wait a few more updates free transfers might be off the boards for you as well.

Since all my usual character names are already in use on the destination server.

And finally my characters can be on the fleet and not have to worry about those pesky objects known as 'clothing'.

Character names might not be that important to most people. But It was important enough for me to take the steps necessary prior too launch to ensure I got my head start. So that I had a chance to get the names I wanted. Being effectively forced to transfer to a server where my names are all taken is really disappointing. If I am eventually forced to move, it will effectively null and void the reward they offered at launch for me. Not to mention the loss of my legacy name. This is a very sad week for me. I can honestly say it has taken the wind out of my sails.

I don't want to loose my names. But if it is eventually forced, perhaps an alternative can be found to renaming? maybe you could keep your name and have the initials of your original server added too it? kinda like a Bob of so and so server. something like Bob LA for Lord Adraas. He still has his name and those from his home server would recognize him easily.

If they close servers I am not subscribing anymore. My main server has my Legacy name that I worked hard to get. I busted my butt for 4 days on early access to get that Legacy name and now it could all be for nothing. It was taken on the server they transferred me to and so were 3 of my 4 level 50's names. Maybe to everyone else the Legacy name doesn't matter but to me it does. I hope they keep the servers open for the new people to populate.
