Ow really, so how are you inplying that im biased exactly, who i am biased to and who am i not biased against. Also have I at any point implied that they shouldnt do xfers, only an idiot would argue that. In release week way to many servers opened and then the caps on servers increased. Product of that was servers became available to play on, people went to the servers they originally wanted and some servers became empty. To this asia pacific players were xfered to there own servers from the eu us servers.

Simple logistics to understand that with cap increase and mass movment of a region you should move some people from lower pop servers to higher pop servers.

or are you going to argue that too and say im biased again ?

Geeeee Im so glad this forum not being used to advertise non Bioware podcasts and websites!

As for Gamebreaker, listen/watched the one before this and doubt I ever listen/watch to them again, EVER!
In regards to lessening F2P and Preferred restrictions
In GAMING, as in LIFE,
You get what you pay for
No game restriction is so dire that $15.00/month will not eliminate it

So your stating that the xfers or in your eyes merges are due to the game failing and not the fact that asia pacific were migrated to there own region and server caps increased. No one is disputing a drop in the playerbase from 1.7 mil to 1.3 mil at last count but you state its simply due to game failure.

I'm enjoying the game. I have since day one. I want more, they are providing more. I'm good with that. If you choose to spend your days focusing on the negatives, that is your right. However, I'm not going to visit and support what I consider to be a couple of armchair experts that have no credentials beyond making a web site.

Show me an expert in the field, with experience in game design and I'll read his opinion along with a counterpoint piece from another expert that can contradict the veracity of the first and vise versa. That would be an interesting read, this stuff is just drama on the level of facebook.

Sorry, may not be popular with you but that's how I see it.
Yup ... yup ... yup ... All of this. How some get so wrapped up in hot sheet paparazzi that using it as ammunition to feed some internal ambition to vehemently control perspectives they can't control is just inane.
Can we please just have our pre-KotFE SWTOR MMORPG back?

The simple fact you are comparing the transfers of Asia/Pacific players to localized servers in their region once they launched them to whats happening now is all anyone really needs to see where you are coming from.

This is where your ignorance comes in. Yes, they certainly are. Gamebreaker wasn't, orginally, but it certainly is now.

------------------------------------------moving on to things not directly pointed at you, Kilosolder------------------------------------

Negative news does indeed sell better, and that is indeed how journalism works. Sadly, it's not their fault, it's ours.

No matter how anyone (sunshine pumper or negative Nancy) wants to try to spin it, this game is undergoing what appears to be a fairly substantial server merge. This is fact, you need only look at how many servers have The Fatman as a destination to know this to be true. It is very possible that by the time this is said and done, this game might very well shrink to a dozen servers, probably less than 20. World-wide. That's a pretty big deal, certainly, and should be recognized as such.

Personally, I don't think the server merges are the real question that needs to be answered - the real question, is what is Bioware's plan for the future, should these merges revive the game to release-level populations. How they handle that scenario is largely what will determine this game's future success.

The combination of healthy populations, the group finder, the better UI, Rated Warzones, and content due for release this year should put this game in a good position to grow again. What actually ends up happening, remains to be seen.

Also - someone said something about World PvP being the necessary tool for revival. World PvP lost a leg the day BG's went live in WoW, and lost the other one when PvP got its own gear that you had to farm/grind some sort of reputation or currency for. No playground that any developer makes will change the fact that World PvP just doesn't deliver those things fast enough while the other option still exists. A very large portion of this game lends itself very well to World PvP (including Ilum), but the community as a whole just isn't doing it. World PvP will stay *dead* until clicky PvP, or the grind for its gear is removed. This is just a sad fact.

I just wanted to add this as well - Gary Gannon is very, very good at what he does. I just don't like what he does.

Wait, let me get this right, where exactly do you think those people who migrated to asia pacific servers came from and where do you think the 400k that left went from ?

lol, awsome post. Its fascinating how much someone can be in denial about a video game.
