GBTV will frequently talk up the games they do shows on, but when there's room for criticism, the hosts will give their honest opinions. They even said in the show posted in the OP...."SWTOR is a great game!" But that does not mean that the game if flawless and neither are the developers. Yes, they frequently will sensationalize, especially Gannon, but don't turn this into a "zomg they hate Bioware, but love Blizzard" argument...that's garbage

Exactly.

It has turned into attacking the people expressing opinions instead of addressing the content of the opinions.

That type of approach at discourse only works on the play ground.

did i say they have only dedicated multiple shows to single elements and named there shows in majorly negative ways, yes they have when it comes to swtor.
They dedicate shows to what's topical. At the moment, its hard to argue that server populations is not the hot button issue. They also talked about the 1.3 PTR launch, however it was clear that neither panelist had much time to play with the new features due to some random generic video game related event that happened last week (/sarcasm) ....so they were not in a position to give informed opinions.

really lets look, gbtv show named The Republic doomed to fail-

Last week was pretty horrific for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Much of the staff — 150 employees by Larry Everett’s estimation — were laid off from the BioWare Austin studios including Senior Community Manager Stephen Reid.

The Republic panel really didn’t know what to make of the situation. Layoffs have become the norm for MMOs shortly after launch, but this one came as a surprise because, according to BioWare leadership, they planned on keeping the same team throughout development.

If you’re as confused about the changes as we are, then you have to watch this week’s The Republic. The befuddled Gary Gannon is joined by the disoriented Larry Everett from Massively, the perplexed Justin Lowe from Darth Hater, and the confounded Ed Park from Taugrim on our SWTOR show called The Republic!

Legendery show named 600 nerf iRL -

Unfortunately, we have to cover some bad news on Legendary sometimes. As we mentioned on This Week In MMO, Blizzard laid off 600 of its employees, mostly in the customer service area. Blizzard cited redundancies from the Activision merge as the compelling reason behind lay offs.

Every week, GAMEBREAKER tackles the world’s largest MMORPG, World of Warcraft. Mike Schaffnit guest hosted along with the BFF Report‘s Mike B aka Fony and Tankspot‘s Josh Allen aka Lore pulling the assist. Do not miss this or any episode of Legendary!

One the end is nigh second meh they layed off some people.

I implied that whilst there can be discussions on the bad one show leans majorly towards entire shows only on the bad.

Neither reported anything that wasn't true, so your gripe is just the tone of their stories? Really? Your problem is that you take GBTV too seriously and can't appreciate the sardonic tone.

Wait what, so bioware lays off 150 staff and state it wont effect the game and a show comes out on gbtv called doomed to fail and blizzard lay of 600 staff and they state it ok the game wont be effected and gbtv make a show saying 600 staff layed off but all is ok.

You forgot the question mark on "Doomed to fail"

I will just chalk that up to your bias though.

SWTOR is in deep trouble.
WoW has stabilized at 10 million players.

How you try and conect the two different circumstances is what is full of bias to be perfectly blunt. If WoW was int he same position as SWTOR the topics and content would be similar on that show.

This really boils down to thjis line of argument:

"I know things are bad in SWTOR right now and the hot button issues that are going on right now are not very flattering to the game....but could you please not talk about them? Thanks"

They're still factually true and you're still complaining about the tone, not the substance.

LOL, yes they do critisize other games alot. Why do you expect people to link you shows, go look for yourself, theyre all the on the site.

The only bad thing i can say about GBtv is that they get too many fanboys hyping up gmes when they are new or before they release, they really went overboard with swtor fanboys, and they are currently going overboard with GW2 fanboys. Although last night they had Taugrim on the gw2 show and he did point out quite a few flaws in the game. And just like the swtor fanboys, the gw2 fanboys started to have melt downs.

If that episode of the republic show really upset you then you might be an irrational fanboy and thats your problem.
