Man. I can't believe the nerve that these gamebreaker failures have. If anything, it's their fault that population has declined in such a way.
I love the sarcasm but lets look, doomed to fail is one title after 150 people were layed off but wow lays off 600 staff and whats the title of legendery ?. Another one, Bioware hates crits. Lets not forget the ultra hype 'the jesus patch' . 1 shows called Alert - illum failure and then another called Illum the broken planet. Now we get it the pvp part of illum isnt working as intended but the pve part did, and how many shows on illum are needed. We play the game we know illum is still broken.

Actualy i wasnt entirely right that "merges" is the bad word. It may be because it means closing down servers and closing servers is the actual bad word, so if they close down servers it will still be the same bad pr.

Not to mention they cant actualy close down any servers without doing "merges" because there are pleanty of people who arent playing this game who did not come back and move their characters. And if they dont close down servers then they have 15-20 good servers and 100+ servers with nobody on them at all, and having 75% of your servers empty is definately not good for a games rep.

Thats basically like saying we know the economy is bad, stop talking about it already, which is pretty much just saying to sweep it under the rug.

If Ilum wasn't *STILL* broken, or wasn't hyped so much before launch, we probably wouldn't be hearing so much about it. Ilum is still being talked about on these forums, it is still talked about on a multitude of websites, and it should be, because Ilum is one of the bigger mistakes they've made in this game. Gamebreaker is not unique in this aspect. When people talk about ToR and failure, Ilum is usually a hot topic.

To tell people to ignore the mistakes they've made simply because you know they exist doesn't really solve the problem that mistakes are still being made.

Who says anything about ignore the problems, Illum deserves to be talked about but does it require 2 shows just on that and is illum JUST a pvp planet ?.

we know the problems but here is the contrast. Darth hater, you know that site that justin runs isnt befound by just negativity. Its helpful and informative and talks in a none biased way.

What is your point? Should we all be wallowing in sadness and despair? Should we praise these people for their ability to disparage a game that they neither play or could develop on their best day, or curl up in a ball and rather then be happy and excited about this change moan endlessly about the past or how we could do it better?

You see MAJOR server merges as something to whine about, which would demonstrate your approval of their complaining. I see major server mergers as a very positive thing both demonstrating their dedication to the game and that the number one issue in this game is now repaired.

Matter of perspective.

The point of the reply was for people to get the hint. Apparently it was a bit too subtle. ;p

Wait... so everyone has been asking for transfers/mergers for months. Wait, not asking. DEMANDING. Bioware complies, as they have with almost everything we've asked for and...they're being degraded because of it?

No but just because some around here want to pump sunshine and rainbows doesnt mean that there is not plenty to be negative about and to discuss.

The game is on a nasty downward spiral since launch. That is a fact. People at Gamebreaker discussing this is not being "negative".

The funny thing is folks around here find it much easier to launch ad hominems at the Gamebreaker hosts instead of countering the very salient negative aspects that they bring up on their show. You know why? Because they points they bring up are true and that grinds the gears of the sunshine pumpers.

I disagree. I think it is more like saying "the server population situation is now fixed, shut up already, you sound like a broken record." Conic Complainers extrapolate that to "sweeping it under the rug" as a means of providing them something to complain about.

We know the issues. They know the issues. They have stated that they will take care of it as time goes on, one thing at a time. We don't need Beavis and Butthead spewing it at us Ad nauseam
