Ok as a Rper myself I would like to educate you on what we are getting adaptive social gear that means we can make our chars have our own look to them, another thing if you saw we are getting in the future they have spoken many times about and that is space stations or capital ships for guilds this also helps us Rpers.

We have a HUGE amount of lore to tap into also we have legacy which we can build a family tree about the character we are playing and I have also read somewhere I can't exactly remember I think one of the Q and As thy said they would be looking into player family trees for marriage and such

As for tools I might suggest looking around SWTOR-RP.com is a great place for RP

So they haven't forgotten about us they are giving everyone a bit of everything just be patient.

Absolutely nothing. We're are even being excluded from the transfers.
You are not your rig specs. You are not your K/D ratio. You are not your character level. You are not your sig.

And? You posted a link to a youtube video of a Dev panel that promised features they never delivered. You can scroll to the top of this page, click on Dev blog and read lots of feature they promised back in 2011 that never came about.

Just because a couple of Devs decide to hold an interview and make some off hand comments about ideas they had one day, doesn't make it upcoming content.

I bet a couple hundred thousand people quit solely because of the lack of chat bubbles. Come on BioWare, how hard can it be to add?
Looking for a good woman. Able to clean, cook, sew, catch bait, and clean fish. Must have boat and motor.

Odd.
I went from 1 to 50 and did nothing but role play all the way through it. Didn't need chairs, didn't need bubbles.

Hate to break it to the RP community here, but here's the plain and simple truth. Video games do not provide the environment you are after, it cannot produce a thriving ever changing world responsive to your actions without the use of expansions or complete world overhauls, and even then, such a thing has 0 to do with what you do as a character.

Speech bubbles, I have never used them, hate them in fact. Chairs to sit in? Sure, might be nice around the stations and the cantinas, I would personally welcome them. But to make a post and demand that BW cater to the lowest sub population of players, while working on other more important things that have a direct impact on REAL game mechanics? Ill take that first, and continue to role out my sith warrior as he should be, and use what is available to make my RP experience better here than 7 years of Azeroth ever did.

Guild Capital Ships
Chat Bubbles
Chairs, yes chairs you can sit in!
Voice over emotes
Mounts that can carry more than one person
A space ship that can carry more than 4 people
Pants for those people who like to play male Sages

All these things are coming, soon.....
I had all of those things in SWG minus the voice over emotes, and yet LA killed it. Also I keep in touch with a lot of the RPers I knew from SWG, and most of them have left TOR already due to lack of support for RP.

You're talking about two different kinds of roleplay. To your last point, can you define for me how chat bubbles have no direct impact on "real" game mechanics?

My favorite part of the thread is where the OP states he knows none of these things are high priority and everyone cries about other things being priority and bashing him.

This community is like a one armed swimmer just kinda goes nowhere in circles.

SWG had it's faults but at least I could sit in a chair and yell at my blue rodian neighbor.

My chat bubble fix for those who can't live without it.. all you need is a piece of paper, one inch of scotch tape and a pair of scissors and you can have your own in under 5 minutes!
