Nope, my fat lady's gone and sung for this game.

I had some great fun, and checking out the fixes in 1.2 (that the game should have been shipped with instead of charging gullible players for 5 months of a sub-beta-quality product) was neat and all, but my server is dead. Transfers on Tues may fix that, and they may not. EA won't tell us what the hell they're doing until after they do it, and I'll be out of time too soon to see if the results were successful or not, and the upcoming level cap increase makes it a little pointless for me to keep grinding my 50 anyway. If they give another free month before their next investor report I might poke my head in and look around, but EA isn't getting getting any more of my money for this one.

Between MoP, GW2, TERA, and TSW (ugh, EA on the box, maybe not TSW) all this year, I have plenty of other options to explore.

I know some people returning to this game on Wednesday, and I'm curious if I'm not the only one.
i can only speak for myself and why i wont sub to this game and i am simply not returning to the game because i can tell when corners are cut and when actual love sweat and tears are put into a video game, from 1-49 i felt the love, 50 and end game is none existant, i played wow , i dont want to play it again with a starwars skin, i was hoping for some more indeapth gameplay, where choice actually matters, where npc and environment are enticing engaging and entertaining., this game is a shell fo what i was hoping it would be, has nothing to do with server transfer and population, if you build it they will come, the problem here is that it was built poorly so i left.

-things this game needs:
-space combat multiplayer with a great crafting component
-player driven economy]
-player housing with sandbox/ openeded map zones on all the planets ( simply add relestate on the map borders of all the planets to allow for player commnities to be built and bases to be built and destroyed
-swoop racing gambling and crafting
-rp stuff like sitting swimming fishing etc.
- make the planets feel like they are active vibrant living and breathing , currently they are dead and static
-cantina games like pazzak, animal holo chess, and drunk debuffs from alcohol

a lot of these features were available in swg almost 10 years ago lol talk about dropping the ball bioware. there is alot more to a good mmo than raids and pvp and gear . have fun running on the hammster wheel and folowing the yewllo path that bioware wants you to follow

im out

No, no plans to return anytime soon. Update 1.3 will more than likely fizzle after a week or so, as it appears to be nothing more than a pacifier at best...however, it may buy them some time to come up with a recovery patch. GW2 and other games will sink this game even further. It's a shame...considering the time, money and effort that went into creating this game.

My subscription runs out at the end of July. If all goes well and server transfers solve my being on the lowest population server issue then I will resub. Love the game just hate the population on my server.

I were on 3 month subscription plan, but cancelled it a while back and there's still some time left.

Everyone in my guild (which mainly consisted of RL friends and former guildies from WoW) has left the game long time ago and I'm beginning to feel this game might not be for me either.

Yeah well, I was hoping to try out 1.3 with my main character on the PTS, but it seems it didn't get copied. I'm certain I filled out the form correctly, even sent an extra one in case the first got "lost" or something.

Needless to say, I don't have the time nor the energy to get a character up to maxlevel on the PTS, so I guess I'll never know how the game feels in that regard, let alone if it would be enough to make me resub.

I did level up a character to 17 on the PTS, but as I never got the promised reward title for reaching level 10, I don't really see why I would bother even putting the time into completing the first chapter with it either.

Not looking like I will. Simply to many things missing that should have been the building blocks for any MMO hitting the market these days. We have all seen long lists of items we want/wanted to see ingame. I think one red flag should have been the basic UI at release. No options at all. With all the games (no matter the length of time since release) out on the market these days. Shouldn't basic UI customization have been in the first build, and without question before beta even began... We are talking 300mil.

I will come back in a year or two. I hope they stay over 500k subs to keep the doors open. (The number of subs EA reports needed to keep SWTOR viable)

One last thought. SWTOR is far more than a game. Its a business first and formost. I would think EA is having some very bad phone calls with Bioware folks. I do wish them the best tho.

You have 8 days of play time remaining.
That's it for me. I have been here since the early start, purchased the collectors edition and followed this game since 2009. This game was flawed from the beginning as content that includes VOs will require 5x as long to release not to mention that this game is still missing basic MMO features. Now that they have laid off a good amount of their developers and majority of servers are dead you guys need to realize that the writing is on the wall.

Every BioWare game was day one buy for me but after DA2, ME3 and the pathetic management and direction of SWTOR they have lost their credibility. I still cannot believe what a huge IP with Star Wars they had and they managed to blow it. Oh well.

Have fun whoever is staying.

SWTOR needs:

A real world PvP system - not just battleground arenas, and incentives to do it
Optional sandbox elements to break the boring mod of arena/fp/ops grind
  • Make the casinos functional
  • Make mini-games
  • Pod Racing
More customizations to ship/character/companions
A functional Light/Neutral/Dark system that is actually worth something
Endgame gear that actually looks good enough that people WANT to get it
Space overhaul
Get us off fleets! - Were sick of those damn stations, get us off and dont force us in those places!
ALOT more guild features/incentives/rewards/goals/tools/achievements
Make worldbosses worthwhile to kill, like actually good loot, that you actually drool and want to get!
Make achievement awards unique, instead reskinning the same speeders we already have.....boooooring.
Make endgame loot alot better, and dont be lazy and have different tiers share the EXACT same set bonuses!

And of course fix dead servers - well see how it goes after tuesday

Get those features in and you might start getting people back
Pretty much this (minus pod racing-anything related to episode 1 is bantha poodoo in my eyes). I absolutely hate the fleet system. What's the point of a PvP server if all the end game content is on the fleet? Why force everyone to spend all their time in cold, sterile interior environments and waste all the beautiful artwork that went into all the planets? Why "fix" PvP when it didn't need any, aside from some balance issues?

Until these and other questions get answered in a satisfactory way, I most likely won't be resubscribing any time soon.

Anyone who doesn't think these patches are including a lot of content are just a bunch of complainers.

Lots of people on these forums are saying that they already un-subbed and wont be coming back... then why are they still here on the forums? For a game that they apparently don't want to spend any of their "precious time" on.... hahahaha. Some people need to just get a life.... And up the shut ****!

Last update wasnt bad but half of it was catch up of what it should have launched with. First update was leftover work they didnt finish prelaunch. This update there is pretty much no content. So if you think thats alot of content then you are just easily pleased.

People like to think this game has 1 mil plus subs. It may be possible but there sure is not that many playing. Even so.... thats 15 million every month they would be collecting. If thats true then how is it they canned half of their staff. Another thing I question is that BW has always said they have huge teams for every aspect of the game. If that was the case... LFG tool going on 7 months now? Server transfers taken atleast 3 to 4 months now after they realized they needed them? It will be atleast another 3 to 4 months for the next content update..... thats 6 to 8 months with no actual new content.

We are talking this update... server transfers, lfg tool, some crappy legacy features, and social armor that actually suits your class.... If you think that it takes 4 months with these supposed huge teams and you think thats alot of content in that time frame...... ill leave it at that. You tell people to shut the asterick.... what you dont realize is that without these people you are telling to shut the asterick... ToR doesnt exist and your prescious game becomes dead.
