SWTOR needs:

A real world PvP system - not just battleground arenas, and incentives to do it
Optional sandbox elements to break the boring mod of arena/fp/ops grind
  • Make the casinos functional
  • Make mini-games
  • Pod Racing
More customizations to ship/character/companions
A functional Light/Neutral/Dark system that is actually worth something
Endgame gear that actually looks good enough that people WANT to get it
Space overhaul
Get us off fleets! - Were sick of those damn stations, get us off and dont force us in those places!
ALOT more guild features/incentives/rewards/goals/tools/achievements
Make worldbosses worthwhile to kill, like actually good loot, that you actually drool and want to get!
Make achievement awards unique, instead reskinning the same speeders we already have.....boooooring.
Make endgame loot alot better, and dont be lazy and have different tiers share the EXACT same set bonuses!

And of course fix dead servers - well see how it goes after tuesday

Get those features in and you might start getting people back
Add Dynamic Events that make you want to see previous worlds and give you reasons to go back there. Right now, there's no point unless you're leveling an alt to go through them again. Dynamic events also lead to a more tight knit COMMUNITY. (something that Bioware seemed to make a big fuss about after all). Unfortunately, I don't think the Hero Engine can actually manage this if Ilum is any indication of what happens when 50+ people end up in the same spot with things blowing up.

More importantly to those who keep bringing up you can't post with no sub: There are a lot of people who subbed for a longer portion of game time then others because they expected this game to do well. I still have two months left and haven't played since mid April.

I will often check these forums and keep up to date as best as possible because I really want this game to turn around and be FUN. In its current state, it's nothing but a disappointment. (I have 4 50's btw...this isn't coming from a single 50 minded person.)

1.3 comes server transfers and LFG Tool. These are features that should have been in at launch, and I think contributed to the decline in subscribers. So will those of you that are currently not subbed to the game return with this patch? Are your friends returning?

I know some people returning to this game on Wednesday, and I'm curious if I'm not the only one.
No i doubt.
I just wrote a book of reasons, but deleted it all over.
I dont wanna ruin your playfun.

My sub runs out at the end of the week (I cancelled last night/early this morning). No, 1.3 won't bring me back. The fact that I didn't finish some of the class questlines MAY bring me back after a break. I tend to be the type that once I'm gone, I'm gone for good, but not always. We'll see. It was a great, fun game for a time, but when it became a choice between a bloated, overpopulated server rife with immaturity, ninja's, no casual/mature guilds etc. or a dead server with groups being hit and miss, that was the beginning of the end for me. Bioware's choice to go with the 'mega-server' option and to give in to the 'xserver kills communities' nonsense (what community? the kids on Fatman talking about anal stuff? LOL) was the nail in the coffin.

If I hear good reports from a few trusted friends after 1.3 releases, then I MAY come back. I've been around too long to trust what people say based on a PTR.

1.3 looks ok. I want to see a successful server merging/transfers, if that goes smoothly a lot more people will have faith in this game.

Well said! I followed this game from when I first heard about it, been a fan of SW since the first movie came out (I was in my early teens) and just couldn't wait to play it. Beta was great, I reported to my friends that we finally had something that was worth quitting WoW for (most of us already had anyway) and at least 30 people who bought the game first heard about it from me and my recommendations (no I'm not trying to say I'm more important than anyone...just giving you an idea of what my enthusiasm level was at). I spent many hours defending this game from haters on various forums. Those days are in the past now. Of those 30, less than 10 still play (getting close to needing only 1 hand as well). This game had such promise and I wanted it to succeed in a very bad way. And no one would be happier than I if they turned it around. I would gladly come back to this game if it were to begin to reach its promise. Sadly, I'm just not optimistic about it anymore and can no longer bring myself to argue with the naysayers, nor can I defend the devs anymore.

Nope..Ill keep in contact with a few people that wont leave. But I will no longer pay to play a beta test game.
I cant think of a game that has lost the hundreds of thousands of subs, millions even ..that has survived. I understand that all MMO's have issues...but when is it Ok to say: These things should no longer be an issue?
MMO's have been around long enough for a game with this money and hype behind it..... should have never had the basic problems that this one should have had worked out in Alpha and beta testing.
Imagine Ford making a car without a seatbelt...and arguing that its OK because all cars have problems.

Yes I shall, im going to hit it again with another 6 months worth of subs. The game is getting better and better. Plus anyone who has played mmos from launch knows that when they launch they come out as basic and then get grown upon until what is classed as vanilla is hit.

And anyone who refers to this as a beta obviously has no idea what an mmo consists of, they are always adapting and being added to thus they are never finished. Just because it doesnt have the features you want right now doesnt make it a beta it just makes it a case that you didnt look at what you were buying.

As for wacky doddle above me i can give you one right now that has lost 100's of thousands of subs even upto the point of millions and survived, that would be wow.

u just wait after the ppl REALLY get their transfer , then u ask this question,
u just cant wait , cant u?
nothing will work well until they r really happen,
look at how successful swtor was before it launched, but now?
English is not my first language, still working on it.
