Will you resubscribe to SWTOR after 1.3?

I know many of you here are proud subscribers of the game, myself included. My question here is for the people that are unsubscribed.

1.3 comes server transfers and LFG Tool. These are features that should have been in at launch, and I think contributed to the decline in subscribers. So will those of you that are currently not subbed to the game return with this patch? Are your friends returning?

I know some people returning to this game on Wednesday, and I'm curious if I'm not the only one.
Proud subscriber of Star Wars: The Old Republic since Day 1 of Early Access.

No I will not.
Patch 1.3 offers too little to make me come back. What I want is a major overhaul on Space Combat and OWPvP

After server transfers yes.
Coming from a long break but there is no point in playing now with only 10 people online.
This is me when I'm mad

I'll keep tabs until 1.4, but for me, a patch that added a group finder didn't make any difference at all in my decision to un-sub (I have play time through the end of the month).

1.3 may be a nice set of fixes, but it's not content. And I lost all hope in major new content after the layoffs - that was kind of the point where I'd had concerns about the game to thinking it's probably the beginning of the end.

I came into the game after giving it a couple of months to settle out, and there was this fellow Stephen Reid who was talking about all the issues and promising fixes and content and legacy, and maybe unicorns. Then they fired that guy.

I'd love to be proved wrong, but a tool patch and server mergers to get rid of dead servers doesn't inspire confidence in me that EA is going to support SWTOR.

If they have unsubbed and thier subscription has expired, they would not be able to answer your question on this forum. For myself, I will give it a try, but I have this feeling it will not keep me from unsubbing next month. Hope I am wrong.
Trust is something which is earned.

No way, this game needs alot more updates. Im happily in GW2 now, in its beta, and it offers sooooo many more basic features that an mmo should have, and its beta...oh and its free.

SWTOR needs:

A real world PvP system - not just battleground arenas, and incentives to do it
Optional sandbox elements to break the boring mod of arena/fp/ops grind
  • Make the casinos functional
  • Make mini-games
  • Pod Racing
More customizations to ship/character/companions
A functional Light/Neutral/Dark system that is actually worth something
Endgame gear that actually looks good enough that people WANT to get it
Space overhaul
Get us off fleets! - Were sick of those damn stations, get us off and dont force us in those places!
ALOT more guild features/incentives/rewards/goals/tools/achievements
Make worldbosses worthwhile to kill, like actually good loot, that you actually drool and want to get!
Make achievement awards unique, instead reskinning the same speeders we already have.....boooooring.
Make endgame loot alot better, and dont be lazy and have different tiers share the EXACT same set bonuses!

And of course fix dead servers - well see how it goes after tuesday

Get those features in and you might start getting people back

After I heard that I wouldn't be able to have the chance to get all of my characters together on the same server because some are on a PvE server while the others are on a PvP one I started checking out other games. My biggest hope was that I would be able to play on a living server with all of my characters (I only rolled on a different server because of friends who no longer play after my PvE server died out) available to me. Since this isn't the case I'm sure I'll be unsubscribing as soon as the announcement is made on Tuesday. BioWare really should have just limited server selections when the game was launched and added as needed.

I never unsubbed, so I cannot resub.

Here till I go broke or when the game dies years from now.

This.

But I'll bury myself with SWTOR at the funeral.

Valkirus, if you leave, the boards will lose one of the voices of reason.

Oh well, I'm gone in 3 weeks but I should say while I can I really enjoyed reading some of your thoughts here. I'm new to MMOs, and your posts were very insightful to me. You have a real eye for the myriad of little details that really matter when you're building a virtual world. And you're unfailingly polite, which few can pull off well.
