People did give feedback. In beta. After launch. And even to this day. It's up to Bioware to deliver. The millions of players stopped playing for a reason. It was because the game couldn't keep them interested, and it was mostly because of what's in that list.

Seems like a double standard to me.

Depressing. I just came back to sw with dcuo being so buggy. This game is so much cooler then dcuo. I don't play swtor more because I have a great guild with active players in dcuo. Swtor scratches an itch. The game is only as good as its community. I hope bw makes many of u eat your words. My biggest disappointment aside lack of community meaning not many people willing to help is no open world space. Look forward to switching servers cuz shadow town is a complete ghost town. I hope the people of this game are nicer then those whom had been in shadow town.

Granted, I haven't logged in on EVERY server. But at least half the US servers I have logged in during what is peak time on that server. Only one of them had more than 100 people on, both sides totaled, doing a who search.

That single server was The Fatman.

So, if there are 1.3 million people playing this game...please tell me where they are hiding, because I sure can't find them.

Too many servers so the popultion is spread out. Fatman is highly populated because almost everyone is rerolling alts on that server, or Jedi Covenant. BioWare has already admitted they launched with too many servers. Hence why the character transfers are coming soon.

Pretty sure after the transfers are done they will merge the other servers together to bring the population closer together. Then again, I am an optimist and dont see everything as doom and gloom.

There are currently ~65,000 players online at any given moment across all servers playing SWTOR right now. That number is down from ~100,000 players 6 weeks ago. Now the actual number of active subscribers will be exponentially higher since not everyone plays 24 hours a day.

My theory is we have ~800,000 active subscriptions at the moment.

They are certainly taking their time. It can't really take 6 months to do server transfers. And anyway if this game would be success they would be needed anyway.

Even when WoW was very popular it had servers dying and targeted transfers. Also many raiders and pvpers wanted better battlegrounds so they switched servers after better guilds, battlegrounds and markets. And this was like over 2 years go. I think I switched like 20 times servers because I switched different alts after guilds, friends and battlegrounds.

Blizz prolly made lot of money just by transfers alone.

From financial standpoint too it would be bring more money. I mean 20 euros or dollars for transfers is close to free money to any company that has automated the transfer. Why they haven't rushed to do this function is a big failure on so many levels.

You're right, SWTOR wont be shutting the doors anytime soon. They wont need to because the players already left the room and boarded the doors shut. Who the hell wants to play a game that was designed to compete against MMOs created 7-8 years ago. SWTOR is a dumbed down WOW clone catered for people who couldnt get things right in WOW in the first place. Actually, every single MMO out there atm, has more content than this sinking tub.

SWTOR is going on the shelf with AOC, STO, Warhammer Online and the rest of the overly hyped MMOs out there that provided nothing but disapointment. All SWTOR has to offer is Star Wars. An unfamiliar Star Wars setting that only a few have bothered reading up on (unless you are a KOTOR fan). No wonder that no one feels like they are living in a Star Wars universe.

How the SWTOR setting was created = make a timeline where everyone can be a Jedi (because thats ALL we SW fans think about). It cant be in the same timeline as the movies, as this will enrage Mr. Lucas. So lets make a new timeline where Jedis can be ALL over.

In a couple of months the only players left here in SWTOR will be all the KOTOR fanboys and all the hardcore Star Wars fans that have no alternative to go to. I grew up with SW Episodes 4,5,6. This game doesnt cater to me. For all the people that grew up with SW Episodes 1,2 and 3, this game doesnt cater to them either. Star Wars was buit on MOVIES. What idiot thought, "Hey lets scrap all the movies and lets just make a new story (or a story based on 2 games released over 8 years ago). Have the words Star Wars in the title and bingo! profit!!". Yeah right!!

Gotta agree with most of what you said.

I dont agree with lots of things what OP says. Theyre not facts but his point of view. But hes absolutely right about one very important thing.

Spoiler

İve been seeing one of the most terrible community management lately. Use your official site, forums, other official channels for information. İm sick of hearing stuff on other stupid gaming sites for the first time.

Personally I think Rift is a superb MMO, couldn't ask for more from the game. It just needed more players.

Personally think that's a large number. There was 150 people on the Fleet yesterday. I couldn't talk to them all and at most I interacted with 8 in a PvP and a further 3 in a Flashpoint. So I'm not seeing what benefits I'd get from 20k people or 1.3million. All I require is that the one server I'm on is suitably populated and a million people is an excessive largely incomprehensible number.

For decades now the Star Wars franchise has expanded beyond the movies. To be moaning about this in this game seems bitter and pointless.

Given the commercial success of the era in relative terms, I think that would be quite a respectable demographic.

Honestly, the game is clearly titled Star Wars: The Old Republic. From the very beginning BioWare were clear about the setting, the era and (if people were still unsure) there are two previous games to draw a conclusion from.

What did you think you were going to get. Luke fighting Vadar?
