We probably have a big enough community to keep going for a long while but they do need to combine some servers -and they need to do it fast

I think it'll be good with fewer servers with good populations, but if it stays with a lot of servers with low population it will die. imho

The few servers with STANDARD population -no more HIGH and FULL- have mostly new players -as in new to MMO's- which is cool but they play PvP like they are new!

D3 sold 6.5 million, that's a crazy high number, lots of players left TOR for D3. GW2 has already sold more boxes than SWTOR has active players -active as in logging in every day for at least a couple of hours.

RIP swtor. At least it was playable and somewhat fun prior to patch 1.2 EA clearly showed why they were voted "worst company in America 2012 by a landslide" based on their handled of this game.

They sunk this just as fast as they sunk WaR. A real shame too, because both games had huge potential and large followings to begin with.

Republic fleet on mt server used to have over 100 toons at off hours, and now its mainly 20-30. My server Helm of Garush was one of the top 5 population servers at one point. Now it seems more and more like a Ghostown.

What's going on?
dying? it died at 1.2.

Dead at 1.2- when you make the game revolve around a single class like they did with marauders, people will lose interest unless they play that class. It explains why after 1.2 the forums were mostly people saying how OP mara were, and now it's full of marauders saying how weak their class is to avoid a nerf... all the people saying that good players from all other classes were going to quit en masse were correct.

Laugh it up marauders- you must be loving the hour long queues and lack of any decent players left now.

I've never seen an mmo gutted so quickly over class balance issues- and so many people who loved the game and couldn't wait for new features suddenly loathing the company, the game and likely never coming back. My guild of 100 was full of people who were classic BW fanbois... now most of them are swearing they'll never touch another BW game again.

Not just RIP for SWTOR- RIP for BW, I expect like Squaresoft after FFXI, they're going to be releasing nothing but trash from now on.
