Even then, do you know if the server merge will actually fix the population? What if they only merge your server with one other server that's also dead? They need to merge 10 servers into 1, or maybe 20 to 1. Who knows what they will do. I don't understand why you sit around and wait and wait for failed promises when you could just level a new toon to 50 in about 2 weeks, maybe 3 if you're slow. That's what I decided to do just in case 1.3 is another failure like 1.2 was with rated warzones.
Because maybe some of us already 4 level 50's and don't feel like leveling another. Maybe some of those characters are between Valor 55 and 88 and don't want to regrind it. Maybe we have guilds, friends, and community that we don't want to leave behind. Maybe we don't want to roll on servers that we all know won't allow free (or even paid) transfers to. Worst of all, maybe we don't want to start a trend that helps kill the rest of what remains of our servers.

I think that's pretty close. My own back-seat estimate for 1.3 on the live servers is somewhere between June 26 and July 10.

"Can" means you know and are holding the information from us. "As soon as you know" is a more acceptable answer but only when it's honest. While I am appreciative that you are being honest in the fact that you know and are unable to share the information with us, the fact remains that you know and are not sharing the information with us.

Lol, csrs should really have contract law experience. I feel for them, at least ally berry tried to speak like a human being and not a form letter.

late july, say... July 25th. Or whatever the closest tuesday is to that. Im willing to take bets, if im early I will unsu... Er, not resub and give you all my credits. If im late, the reverse.

Ya know.... till the server mesh comes out, I suggest making new characters on more heavily populated servers.
It's what I did.

Good try...on keeping people sub'd. Glad to see that you all really don't care about the pressing matters that are affecting most in game.

But again...you all haven't from the start so yeah...

Parse error. I can't follow your reasoning, except that you seem to be in a rather bad mood.

They probably have an internal estimate they are working against, but you never, ever, turn your internal estimate into a public commitment until you got the risk lowered enough! That's what we try to do in our business, anyway.

However, it's a strange property of the gaming industry, that release dates that are wildly wrong are communicated in advance (april turned out to be july, if we look at The Secret World) although dates for smaller updates that are closer in time are not given.

EDIT: it seems my reasoning about gaming industry inconsistencies is unfair, as I just checked the release date history of SWTOR, and found that they did announce the correct release date the first time (as far back as I have checked). So SWTOR behaviour seems to be consistent. Yes, I like plugging leaks in my arguments.

It is a shame this update is taking so long to be release and it doesn't even have any new content. It makes me worry how long it is going to take for major updates to come up. 1.1 was released in January then 1.2 was released in April. So I guess it is still a shorter period with 1.3, but since the features of 1.3 are really need right now in the game it seems to be taking a very long time.

I am excited to see 1.3 since it will be the last chance that Bioware has to keep me as a player till next year.

I was really becoming bored and disheartened with SW:TOR prior to the Guild Summit. Many of the things that would keep me with the game were discussed there and I, like many others, came away with the impression that most of that would be in 1.2. Well most of it was not in 1.2.

After that the free month for level 50 by a certain time so upset most of the guild that I came to the game with and they have completely stopped playing. In many cases they still have months already paid for that they are not using and they have no plans to give SW:TOR another try.

So if 1.3 looks like it has what would keep me with the game I will not let my subscription end. If the items are not there, I will let the subscription end and uninstall the game. I may come back in 2013 to look at what has been added to the game and consider resubscribing then. But right now it looks to me like SW:TOR will be a repeat of STO. I did not return to that game till they went F2P.

Havent logged in for about a month.. which is kind of funny because i wouldnt have had that month unless bioware had given it to me for having a level 50 lawl...
then everyone complained and they lowered it to having completed Act 2 or something.. so very lame. Way to bow to the poosies bioware.

Anyways.. this game was too hard on my spacebar.
