Except FIFA didn't cost $300 billion to make. This game did.

Truth is, we don't need to see the sub numbers to know the bottom of the barrel is swiftly approaching.

i wouldnt say bottom of the barrel.. but we are getting down to the hardcore fans who are willing to stick it out and see how things change... but ya it is troubling, i think however they bleed will stop somewhere around 700k people and then after the transfers we will see a growth again, if you believe the people posting on the forums many say they will return when there are mergers... so we will see.
im making a decent bet that if the transfers go well, then the mergers that logically should follow we will be back up to 1 million subs by years end..

but ya that is a hopeful number.. personally i would be happier with a smaller dedicated community on larger servers, than a million people who whine and complain all the time:P

Yeah let's hope they do what Blizzard does and make the expansions for TOR and future BW games rentals with a cash auction. Subs might go up if they changed this game to point and click with no camera zoom or rotation....

Really?

Get ready to have your mind blown: How about, you count the number of accounts with an active subscription within the last month! There, now hire me.

Joking aside, this looks like really shoddy attempt at damage control, and it makes me wonder if things are really worse than they appear to be.
Your point? Should I stop playing, stop having fun and come over and sit under that dark cloud with you, pull out my spread sheet and moan endlessly now that you have demonstrated what everything really means? LOL

Sorry, been playing too many of these games for too long to pay any attention to the arm chair experts and their doom and gloom. Seen it through UO, EQ, AC, DoAC, Wow, etc. etc. One can almost predict the next wave of complaints. ;p
May the Schwartz be with you....

Yes, he did nail it with the 300 million price tag comment.

And the messiah patch? Thats a pretty killer one too.

Those of us with deductive reasoning can interpret all the PR spin about active players, "telemetry", those "secret space projects", the layoffs, and the fact that TOR sits behind some real turd titles in terms of priority for the publisher- those are not good signs.

Just 6 months into the games cycle and here we are wishing for the next patch to be an omni potent sentient being that will lead us to the promised land.

Im pretty certain we are all here because we want (or wanted) the game to be great. Is that fair to say? Its just letting us down, and a lot faster than a game that costs you $ past the initial purchase should.
