Perhaps the GM is confused about Anemia and "Enema" (sp?)

There does need to be naming enforcement eventually.
True, I do agree in some naming conventions. Your point, Swinging Richards, is about the best example I could see. They'll never ToS an entire guild though, too many $15 at stake for that.

?? Anemia is a perfectly good name in my opinion. Perfect for a pasty sickly pale faced Sith.

It is often down to the 'going out of their way to be offended' crowd who object to anything and everything.
Over sensitive whiners being pampered to.

I've had my name changed in Several MMO's as my lifelong nickname 'Stuntie' has been deemed offensive. I'll probably get my character reported here no doubt by some dweb who is certain I made and leveled him just to upset them and that the name is so offensive that it must be erradicated.

They need to realise:
A) Get a life and a sense of proportion
B) I didn't name my Character just to offend you
C) Most importantly - why not enter in a dialogue rather than just complaining or banning a name

Yeah you will always get muppets with expletives or obviously inappropriate names, but too often ones like Anemia get changed without any real reason.

Although it could always have been a 'how dare you use the name I wanted' revenge of the jerk style reporting.
Cheers
Stuntie.

My IRL friend named himself "Templar". I was like, "what Jedi was taken"? I made him change it before I let him in the guild.

I ran the esseles last night with a guy named Lichking... He was also the last to join conversations, and get to objectives, rolling need on everything... Pretty much a walking stereotype of people i dont wanna play with.

Agreed and agreed. Maybe because I got in on Wednesday I beat someone else. Also, true, maybe I'm just feeling the brunt of some hyper-sensitive player with too much time on their hands. So now, I have the Thought Police bearing down on my account.

I'm not certain what will happen as:

1) I can't change the name myself.
2) I'm not deleting a 'played' character. ( Of the three they hit me with, one is just a Level 1).
3) I will now have to wait until January to get any other characters in Guild.

I guess I wait and see how hard the hammer falls.

They need to start forcing name changes because i have seen and grouped with some funny ones that I am sure they will force to be changed like DILLIGAFF and RANDOMCHAR. If you actually read the ToS then you would be expecting a GM to force a name change eventually. So why do it in the first place?

Don't get this, I could understand if it was an offensive term but Anemia isn't at all.. In fact you could probably argue that in the SW universe that Anemia is a fairly normal name. Strange..
