Umm, no. I can kite a pali indefinitely. I can't kill him and he can't kill me.

Sigh. The "cost" of UR is not 1k health you expend when popping it. It's the 14k you have to expend before you consider popping it.
What we don't understand, we can make mean anything.
Hyperspace Cannon -> Drooga's -> The Harbinger

That is not "expended". "Expended" implies a resource used by *you*. In this case, you're saying that after another player or players spend all *their* resources taking away your 14k you are forced to use Undying Rage and that somehow this is a cost to *you*?

Yeah. Nice try. Boil it down, though, and your statement is bat-#^$% crazy...

So, like say umm.... Every other class in the game?

Honestly dude, I can see why Mara / Sent needs both a strong defensive cooldown and curbstomp type dps. What I, and any other rational human being, cannot see is the need for both at the same time.

There should be a choice to make: Do I not die, or do I try to squeeze out this kill?

Pulled this quote from the PT vs. Mara epeen thread:

Quote:
If you want to talk numbers... I normally hit top 5 dmg in WZ's with my Marauder. However... I would increase those numbers to top 3 with my BH. When it comes to putting out numbers of just pure DPS.... BH wins. If you're talking about surviving a 3v1 fight, Marauders win. Both serve their purpose and are good for 2 very different reasons.
This guy likes his marauder because of his ability to survive 3v1 encounters. I don't think most classes have this criteria as something they can even ponder..."hmmm, how well does my class handle 3v1 situations? This is something important for me to consider...". Sooo telling.

No class can win a 3v1 vs people who are more than half brain dead. With the number of stuns you can do damage through and snares it's even hard to believe someone can live through a 2v1 against equal gear.

Melee get to people before they attack you. Ranged attack them before they get to you. It works really well in this game. That will normally settle who wins easily.

The QQ and general ignorance is astounding. Of course mara has a few good defensive CDs. THEY ARE A MELEE CLASS! Sorcs and such are not and can zap you from far away. Of course mara has gap closers. THEY ARE A MELEE CLASS. HOW CAN THEY DO THAT 30 m AWAY?! Seriously people L2P. If I am against a good Mara or sorc or whatever I save that critical CD for that purpose. I save my stun for UR. I keep that interrupt ready for the sorcs big spell, don't blow my trinket on the first stun, etc...... I've said in another post sometimes I feel like the ultimate power in the universe with vanguard or sent(or my old BH or assassin. RIP old server) Other times I get facerolled. Depends on the other 7 guys on your team.

And that OP analogy is still dumb. UR is not a healing spell so giving .50 for 5000 makes no sense. More like you're getting chased and ask the teller for help. He respond sure give me 1/2 your money and I'll keep you safe. After you pay the man he kicks you in the junk and kills you 5 sec later then says LOLZ see you in 90 sec. Honestly UR is overrated. It's nice if you actually do get in a 1v1 or you can hold off a cap for a few seconds. Assuming you don't get stunned anyway. Also assuming you can overcome the awesome lag and even get the thing off.

Lol. Of course they can survive a 3v1. They can camo and run away and the BH has no stealth.

The difference is most classes could not win a 3v1 even against braindead players . I am not going to argue the 3v1 issue, though. The point of that post is simply the point-of-view/attitude shown that other classes would not even come close to reaching. I have to consider how to win a 1v1, and how to escape a 2v1. I can guarantee you that this player thinks he is special, and skilled, and that surviving 3 on 1s is all about him and his special understanding of the fine nuances of the marauder class...and that's the problem with any OP class...the rose-colored glasses of those playing them that convince them it's all skill on their part...
